Facial care in the fall at home. Distinctive signs of autumn care

Features of autumn care

The content of the article:

In the autumn months, the skin becomes more sensitive, prone to irritation, redness, and rashes. At this time of year, you need to pay careful attention to the following activities:

  1. Ensuring skin protection. First of all, barrier functions are performed by the so-called hydrolipid film. It consists of water and fatty acids. Natural oils are useful to strengthen it: almond, olive, plum seed oil, macadamia, shea, rose hip, wheat germ. Store-bought cosmetics are also selected with a high percentage of oils.
  2. Additional nutrition - to provide the epidermis with minerals and vitamins that it lacks in the autumn season. It is worth taking a closer look at cosmetics containing lactic, oleic, stearic and hyaluronic acid, vitamins A, D, E, C, collagen, chitosan.
  3. Delicate cleansing. During the off-season, during temperature changes, the sensitivity of the skin increases several times. To prevent irritation and drying out, avoid cleansers containing alcohol, triclosan and parabens. As an alternative, you should pay attention to another cleansing component - salicylic acid.

Also, after the first cold snap, batters begin to be used for body care.

Causes of skin problems in autumn

The autumn season is one of the most difficult for the epidermis. There are several reasons for this:

  1. Dehydrated skin after summer. High temperatures, constant exposure to ultraviolet radiation, and low air humidity dry out the face, hands and body.
  2. Seasonal changes in diet. Starting from October, the body receives fewer vitamins and beneficial microelements. The amount of fresh fruits and vegetables on the menu is reduced, which immediately affects the immune system, the health of hair, nails and skin.
  3. Cold weather and sudden temperature changes. Temperature changes negatively affect small blood vessels in the epidermis. They burst, causing redness and inflammation, which can later turn into a chronic form - rosacea.
  4. The appearance of external negative factors: rain, snow, cold winds, frost. The skin requires additional strength to protect itself from aggressive environmental influences.

All these factors primarily negatively affect exposed areas of the body - the face and hands.

Epidermal protection

Let's look at a few simple tips on how to protect the epidermis during the cool season. First of all, on cold days it is necessary to protect the skin from dehydration. Creams and serums will help with this (described in this article).

Important to know: frequent use of oily creams can lead to clogged pores. Therefore, it is recommended to wipe the face with herbal decoctions.

  1. Autumn skin care includes the rule of sufficient fluid in the body. When the heat subsides, water consumption decreases, and this negatively affects the skin. You can replenish your fluid supply with warm herbal teas.
  2. During the heating period, if possible, you need to get rid of dry air in the room. Regular ventilation and wet cleaning helps.
  3. In windy weather, apply protective cream 15 minutes before going outside. This method will help protect the skin from chapping, and subsequently from peeling.

Autumn skin care

As in other seasons, autumn facial care consists of successive stages: cleansing, toning, moisturizing and nourishing.

But in the fall, these procedures have some features:

  1. Cleansing. With the onset of cold weather, sun activity decreases, so they return to cleansing compositions based on fruit acids. For daily morning and evening washing, select soft cosmetics: hydrophilic oil, milk, enzyme foam.
  2. Toning. After cleansing, the face is wiped with tonic. To relieve irritation, use a composition based on extracts of chamomile, cornflower, rose essential oil, and cucumber. If you are concerned about dryness and flaking, choose water-glycerin tonics.
  3. Hydration. In the morning and evening, the face requires hydration, especially in windy and cold autumn weather. During this difficult period, it is better to replace the night cream with serum; it penetrates deeper into the epidermis and quickly restores the hydrolipid balance.
  4. Nutrition. To restore the structure of the epidermis and restore a fresh complexion, fruit masks are used several times a week. Serums containing stearic or oleic acid, sea buckthorn extract, fig extract, and avocado are also used.

In many ways, the features of facial care depend on skin type.

General Tips

Wash your face morning and evening. Hygiene is the main way to prevent skin problems. In the morning, wash your face before applying any makeup, and in the evening, cleanse your skin of makeup and dirt. Be sure to wash your hands before washing your face - there are a lot of germs on your hands that land on the sensitive skin of your face and infect it.

Wash your face with warm water. Too hot water burns and irritates the skin, and cold water does not cleanse it enough. Choose cosmetics with an anti-inflammatory effect. The skin reacts poorly to autumn temperature changes. To reduce negative factors, use cosmetics with an anti-inflammatory effect: it will prepare the skin for the difficult autumn-winter period. Don't forget about sun protection. For some reason, it is generally accepted that sunscreens are used only in the summer and on the beach. But in the fall, ultraviolet radiation does not disappear anywhere and still affects the skin, albeit not as much as in the summer. Therefore, in the fall, also use sunscreens with an SPF factor of 15 to 30.

Increased dryness

The main cause of dry skin is temperature changes. This applies to air and water. Washing with hot water irritates and dries out the skin. Dry skin can also be caused by too frequent peelings or a lack of vitamins A, E and B.

How not to make things worse

Avoid staying in a hot shower or bath for too long. When washing, the water should be warm. Use a sunscreen that contains antioxidants vitamins C and E and moisturizing ingredients such as glycerin or hyaluronic acid. SPF factor for autumn cream is from 15 to 30. Drink at least 1.5 liters of water per day, include nuts, avocados and olive oil in your diet.

How to fight

Morning and evening, cleanse your skin with mild milk before applying the cream. To prevent your skin from becoming irritated and dry, use a nourishing, non-fragrance-free moisturizer. While these two ingredients often influence cosmetic choices, they can irritate sensitive skin. Replace regular soap with hypoallergenic soap. It should contain only natural and moisturizing ingredients - fruit extracts, oils and vitamins C and E. Cleanse your skin with a fine soft scrub once a week, apply nourishing masks 2-3 times a week.

How to care for oily skin in autumn

In autumn, oily skin types have more advantages over others, since the increased lipid content compensates for the effects of adverse weather conditions.

Autumn care for oily skin types includes several procedures that were not available in the summer:

  1. Applying nourishing creams rich in vitamins, acids, and microelements. In the warm season, this would provoke an increased secretion of sebum, but in cold weather there will be no such effect.
  2. Facial cleansing with fruit peelings. With reduced solar activity, this procedure will not provoke rashes and inflammation.
  3. Using steam baths to deep clean cells and open pores. When steaming your face, you must follow the rules of hygiene, otherwise the procedure threatens the appearance of pimples, comedones, and blackheads.

As in the summer, in the fall you will have to give up drying formulations and alcohol-based cosmetics. They create a matte effect only for a few minutes, but then they provoke increased sebum production.

Taking care of yourself in the fall - take note!

We continue the series of articles on self-care, but this time specifically in the autumn period.

Self-care in autumn, as in winter, should be correct and regular! Therefore, when cold weather sets in, you need to pay more attention to your health.

Self-care in autumn

In this post, we will look at what girls should not do when taking care of themselves, and also find out what they need to use to maintain their beauty.

Self-care in the fall or measures to maintain your beauty, radiant with health:

Body care: With the onset of cool days, you need to stock up on moisturizer, which also applies to winter time and the beginning of the heating season.

If you are too lazy to wait for a long period of absorption of a super moisturizer or any lotion, you can replace these products with washable products: for example, it could be body conditioner or shower oil.

The conditioner quickly moisturizes the skin, and the oil simultaneously has a cleansing and nourishing effect!

Facial care: Those creams and gels that were used to care for your facial skin in the warm season will no longer nourish your skin well enough in the fall.

Therefore, start using serums, which will not only diversify your routine care, but also help your skin as much as possible.

They contain a larger volume of active components, the effect of which is enhanced in cool weather.

Lip balm: The instinct of self-preservation manifests itself in the use of lip balm. In the cool season, lips begin to dry out and “crack,” so you should definitely have this product with you.

At the same time, your balm should have a protective quality, which means don’t be fooled by products that are cheap.

Using primers: With the onset of cool weather, the use of silicone textures or primers is encouraged, of course, if you are not allergic to them.

At the same time, these products, which is typical in the heat, will not overload the skin, but, on the contrary, will create a stable barrier from the effects of the external climate.

And of course, an indisputable fact should be noted - an ideal complexion makes our life more interesting!

Self-care in autumn

Hair care: If in the summer you do not take measures to protect your hair from the sun, bleach and sea water, then in the fall you will have a hard time.

Today we have a large number of different hair care products and therefore we should not neglect them. These can be caring masks and serums.

Do-it-yourself hair dyeing: It is better not to dye hair that has faded over the summer on your own, as you can cause great harm to already damaged hair.

If you do not have the opportunity to visit a salon for this purpose, then try to carefully search for professional products.

This applies to both the paint itself and after coloring masks, serums and oils.

Using a self-tanner: Of course, each of us wants to look tanned for as long as possible. And many of us are no strangers to using self-tanning.

Remember - self-tanning should not be yellow!

It should moisturize the skin and not leave streaks when used. According to user reviews, the Irish organic self-tanning brand Karora is quite good.

We replace coffee and tea with water: It so happens that in the need to warm up, we constantly drink hot drinks and, at best, this is coffee or tea. But such drinks, combined with warming, greatly dehydrate our body.

Therefore, while actively fighting your laziness and forgetfulness, train yourself to drink more water. Start carrying a miniature bottle of water with you that you can use more than once throughout the day.

Using Sanskrin:

Its dense texture can have a protective effect on the skin, preventing it from cold and ultraviolet rays.

For those with oily skin, a sunscreen may be enough, while those with dry skin can use the “serum + sunblock” regimen.

Take care of yourself and appreciate every second of your youth!!!

Caring for dry skin in autumn

With the onset of autumn, those with dry skin are faced with peeling, irritation, and redness. Without proper care, thinning of the hydrolipid film threatens the appearance of wrinkles. In the fight against increased dryness, adhere to the following rules:

Basic care, autumn additions

Cleansing

  • For dry and sensitive skin, a special milk is ideal for washing; it will gently cleanse and remove impurities. Do not use soap, even cream soap, for cleansing. Dry your skin and disrupt the supply of oxygen to skin cells! This is where the gray complexion comes from.
  • For oily and combination skin, cleanse with a cleansing gel, apply to the face and area around the eyes and rinse with warm water using a special sponge for washing. Soap is also not acceptable as a cleanser.

Cleansing procedures should be carried out in the morning and evening. But for dry skin, you can only wash your face with warm water in the morning.

Toning

This stage of care should be done at any time of the year; it completes the cleansing process. Removes remaining dirt and cosmetics, refreshes and restores the acid-base balance. Prepares the skin for applying the cream. Do not use toners containing alcohol!

Nutrition and hydration

We use more complex creams than in summer. Well moisturizing, more oily at night. Apply the cream to your face at least one hour before going outside.

Hygienic lipstick will help keep your lips from chapping.

Scrubs

Using a scrub, we deeply cleanse the facial skin of dead skin particles, stimulate blood circulation, and improve complexion.

In autumn, a scrub will help you deal with age spots and make your complexion pleasant and even. Use a special anti-pigmentation cream (Oriflame has a wonderful “Protection and Lightening” series).

For oily and combination skin, exfoliate 2 times a week, in the area of age spots 3 times.

For dry skin, no more than once every 10 days, 3 hours before going outside.

Application: apply the scrub to clean facial skin, gently massage with your fingertips for 2 minutes, rinse with warm water, cleanse the residue with tonic, apply cream.

The scrub should not be used on inflamed and unhealthy skin!

Salon treatments

Autumn is a favorable time to visit a cosmetologist. The following salon treatments are useful at this time of year:

  • non-injection mesotherapy - effects on the epidermis with meso-cocktails, oxygen, acids;
  • peeling with fruit acids – gentle cleansing of the face from dead cells and all kinds of impurities;
  • ultrasonic facial cleansing – cleansing skin pores with ultrasound;
  • paraffin therapy - the use of paraffin masks to tone and improve skin elasticity.

For a good complexion in the fall, you need to switch to a balanced diet, take regular walks in the fresh air, ensure proper sleep and drinking regime.
