The skin of the face is constantly exposed to external and internal factors. The reasons for the appearance of cosmetic defects can be very different: the environment, poor nutrition, improper or irregular skin care, etc. One of the methods of external influence is health masks. In this article, we will look at simple mask recipes for all skin types that will significantly improve the condition of your facial skin. One thing is known - the solution to the problem must be comprehensive: from the inside and outside.

Masks for problem skin

Enlarged pores, oily shine, inflamed pimples, and acne on the face are not limited to teenagers going through puberty. Problem skin is often a burden for many women who have already said goodbye to their youth.

Regular care is the key to healthy facial skin

Traditionally, in the fight against imperfections characteristic of problem skin, masks are used at home, the main component of which is honey .

  1. Among the many recipes, the simplest and most effective is a mixture of honey and onion juice. This mask does not have to be distributed over all surfaces of the facial skin; you can treat only problem areas and leave for 15 minutes, then rinse with warm water. It is recommended to use the product every other day. The mask cleanses the skin, saturates it with useful substances, and eliminates inflammation.
  2. Masks based on fermented milk products, in particular kefir or whey, give excellent results. These products nourish the skin with organic acids and vitamins (B12, B2, B3, H), which has a beneficial effect on its appearance. The simplest version of a mask at home is a paste of low-fat cottage cheese and kefir. Apply the mixture in a thick layer onto the face and leave for 15 minutes. The mask helps get rid of acne and inflammation.
  3. Yogurt masks are very useful for problem skin. The natural product has a beneficial effect on the dermis, supporting its protective function. Here is a wonderful recipe for making the product at home. Mix one half jar of low-fat yogurt with two tablespoons of potato starch and add three drops of lemon juice. The drug must be quickly applied to the skin of the face so that the juice does not have time to oxidize the remaining ingredients. After 15 minutes, wash off the mask with warm running water.
  4. Cucumber masks perfectly normalize metabolism and moisturize the skin. The vegetable has soothing and anti-inflammatory properties. The simplest and most effective recipe: grate one small cucumber on a fine grater, thus turning it into a paste. Add one egg white and mix thoroughly. Cover the face with the protein-cucumber mixture and leave for 15 minutes. Then wash off with warm water. The mask has whitening properties.
  5. Recently, masks made from the tropical fruit avocado, which are easy to make at home, have become increasingly popular. Avocado has cleansing and regenerating properties. For the mask, the pulp of one fruit and one teaspoon of wheat flour is enough. Mix all the ingredients and apply the resulting mixture to your face for a quarter of an hour. The mask perfectly moisturizes and nourishes the skin, promoting the normal functioning of the sebaceous glands.
  6. Clay-based masks are known for their excellent cleansing properties. For skin prone to excessive oiliness and acne, white or blue clay is recommended. It perfectly dries the skin, tightens pores and absorbs excess sebaceous secretions.

Many masks for problem skin, which can be prepared at home, contain various essential oils as additional components (tea tree oil, fir oil, camphor oil, lemon oil, etc.). When combined with other natural ingredients, they have powerful anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects.

Cosmetic masks for oily skin - the secret to a healthy glow

Oily skin type causes a lot of minor troubles and disappointments. Too active activity of the sebaceous glands leads to excessive secretion of sebum, which contributes to the appearance of an unaesthetic oily sheen, clogging of pores, resulting in pimples and blackheads appearing on the face. One of the effective ways to care for problem skin is masks for oily skin based on natural ingredients. In particular, we are talking about masks that are easy to prepare and use at home. They normalize the functioning of the sebaceous glands and simultaneously act as antiseptics, preventing inflammatory processes.

Comprehensive facial care for oily skin types, carried out at home, does not differ much from skin care for other skin types. It provides the same three basic rules: cleansing, moisturizing and nutrition. However, some physiological manifestations of oily skin (excess sebum and, as a result, a favorable environment for microbes) require a more careful approach to this issue.

Asks intended for oily skin should provide it not only with nutrition, they should have a wider spectrum of action. Therefore, in addition to nourishing masks, we also need those that tighten enlarged pores, dry, removing excess fat, and fight germs. These products are not necessary for the care of normal or combination skin, but for oily skin they are simply necessary.

So, for porous skin prone to oiliness, masks are useful, which include: egg white, lemon juice, camphor oil, vegetables, fruits, yeast, dairy products, hydrogen peroxide. An excellent result is obtained by combining fruits with fermented milk products (for example, apricot with sour milk). And lemon juice not only tightens the skin, narrowing pores, but also whitens it, giving it a fresh look.

Masks prepared at home from kefir and cottage cheese soften the skin, nourish it, and increase the acid reaction of the organ. An excellent basis for nourishing masks with aromatic essential oils would be: clay, yogurt, natural honey, seaweed, rice flour, fruit purees, kefir.

Essential oils should be added to mixtures in the following quantities:

  • lemon oil - 4 drops (per teaspoon of base);
  • bergamot oil - 4 drops (per one teaspoon of base);
  • lemon balm oil - 3 drops (per teaspoon of base).
  • grapefruit oil - 4 drops (per one teaspoon of base);
  • rosemary oil - 3 drops (per one teaspoon of base);

With regular home care, oily skin does not scare you off with its shiny appearance and blackheads scattered all over your face, or worse, inflamed acne.

Simple masks for combination skin

Caring for combination skin has certain characteristics: different areas need to be treated differently. For such skin, there are special industrially produced cosmetics (creams, lotions, tonics, etc.) used daily for the purpose of cleansing and moisturizing. But how to provide extra care to capricious skin? Here, homemade masks for combination skin, consisting of specially selected natural ingredients, will come to the rescue.

When choosing cosmetics, do not rush to randomly give preference to care products for combination skin, relying on their universal action. Before you start using products for mixed skin type, you should make sure whether you really have this type. Characteristic signs can be seen with the naked eye:

  • there are acne and enlarged pores on the T-zone;
  • the skin in the area of the cheeks and temples is dry with an even texture;
  • facial skin is prone to peeling and irritation in winter;
  • The T-zone is characterized by excessive oiliness in summer;
  • the skin in the T-zone begins to shine within an hour after cleansing.

The choice of a mask recipe for mixed skin types is determined primarily by the presence of the main problem that needs to be eliminated (for example, increased oiliness or acne). But in addition to eliminating problem areas, one should not forget about the general condition of the skin, which needs constant nutrition, hydration and cleansing. At home, you can prepare natural mixtures for all cases, which act both comprehensively and perform a specific function.

Care masks for combination skin with cleansing properties are most effective when used at least twice a week. They should be applied with massage movements, especially carefully massaging the T-zone to rid the dermis of acne and blackheads. The mask should be on the face for 15-20 minutes.

A soothing mask will bring a comfortable feeling, eliminating inflammation, irritation and flaking on the skin. The components contained in such masks smooth the dermis, improve color, and increase elasticity. You can soothe the skin with the help of special masks for 20-25 minutes every two days.
