Hygienic facial cleansing: stages and technique, reviews

Clean, smooth facial skin is the dream of the female half of humanity. Every beauty faces problems with velvety skin. Acne and blackheads can spoil a person's appearance. Acne is the scourge of youth and a headache in adulthood.

Eating fast food, dirty air, hormonal changes and a number of other reasons expose the skin of the face to additional stress. It is difficult to achieve the desired results with creams and scrubs alone.

Teenagers primarily suffer from acne. A hormonal surge occurs in the body, which is reflected on the face. Acne goes away when the body's functioning improves. But there is no time to wait, young people are breaking the first rule - do not push! And the acne continues to grow.

Face cleaning. Reviews from a cosmetologist about ultrasonic facial cleansing: Ultrasonic facial cleansing

Fortunately, there are enough cosmetic techniques to make life easier for teenagers. Cosmetology, as a science, is already capable of solving the problems of these people.

Facial cleansing in a salon or at home – which is better?

A question that interests many women is why a procedure in a beauty salon has a more effective effect on the dermis, and is it not necessary to use safe care products for this? It should be remembered that facial cleansing by a cosmetologist is carried out in several stages, using products that are not available for use on your own.

The main advantages of carrying out procedures in the salon:

  • steaming is carried out using methods in accordance with the type and characteristics of the skin; at home, only ineffective plant-based decoctions can be used for this;
  • are carried out with sterile instruments, which completely excludes infection from entering the epidermal tissue;
  • masters perform facial cleansing painlessly, using modern techniques;
  • The type of procedure is discussed with the client; the cosmetologist can only recommend what works best on dry or oily skin types and quickly gets rid of the defect.

Do you know? How long does the procedure take and is it possible to achieve the desired results in a short time? The duration of the manipulations usually does not take more than three hours, but up to five sessions may be needed. This becomes the main reason for women to refuse procedures in the salon. The cost for a full course can reach several tens of thousands of rubles, it all depends on the problem and the chosen technique.

Comparison of mechanical and ultrasonic methods for removing blackheads

Mechanical cleaning Ultrasonic cleaning
Advantages High efficiency, maximum cleansing Gentle and painless procedure, does not cause complications
Flaws Risk of scarring, inflammation, pain Removes only superficial impurities from pores
Preparation for the procedure Steaming the skin Not required
Rehabilitation Darsonvalization, healing and vasoconstrictors Nourishing mask, moisturizing cream
Side effects Skin injuries, possible infection when carried out at home None
Contraindications Infectious or allergic rashes, furunculosis, large moles Cardiovascular diseases, hypertension
Result Visible after a few days, when the redness has subsided Visible immediately: skin brightens, tone evens out

Pros and cons of cleaning

Before you rush to the salon, you need to find out how facial cleansing is carried out, the pros and cons of such manipulations, and possible consequences. The main advantages of the procedure performed by the master:

  • absence of painful sensations (discomfort is possible only with manual treatment of the skin);
  • carried out according to schedule - an experienced cosmetologist will calculate the number of sessions and the duration of breaks;
  • problems of the dermis, the presence of defects, age, and health status are taken into account;
  • quick removal of defects, smooth elastic skin, healthy complexion.

There are few disadvantages, other than the cost of some methods. One of the main ones is long-term restoration of the dermis, especially if mechanical treatment was carried out. Sometimes the skin remains purple for up to a week, and it is forbidden to use any medications to get rid of discomfort or speed up the process of regeneration of dermal tissue.

Another drawback is the impressive list of prohibitions. Salon manipulations are not suitable for everyone; in the presence of inflammatory processes, skin diseases, during pregnancy it is better to resort to less aggressive methods of cleansing the dermis.

Types of cleaning

The methods used to cleanse the skin differ in their effect on the dermis, so before carrying out manipulations, the cosmetologist will certainly perform a thorough examination. Defects must be taken into account - depending on them, cleansing will be prescribed. If necessary, the master can prescribe several sessions using different techniques, this will allow you to achieve the desired results and completely cope with problems in the dermis.

Mechanical

Most often, this type of facial cleansing is used to remove rashes and single pimples. What does this procedure give? The pimple is squeezed out manually, the treated areas are disinfected, which completely prevents infection.

Mechanical facial cleansing in the salon is carried out in the following order:

  1. The surface of the skin is treated with special preparations.
  2. Steaming is carried out.
  3. Using a spoon or fingertips, the cosmetologist squeezes out all pimples and blackheads.
  4. A product is applied to the dermis to soothe irritation and protect against infection.

Mechanical facial cleansing has its drawbacks - you may feel pain during treatment. The results are worth it - the skin gets rid of visible defects and becomes smooth and velvety. Manual cleansing of the dermis is recommended only in a salon - you can independently introduce an infection, injure the epidermal tissue, and provoke the formation of new acne.

Vacuum

Cosmetic facial cleansing using the vacuum method is recommended only if there are no complications. What is it and how does the dermis cleanse? A special device that treats the surface of the skin creates a vacuum that pushes impurities out of the pores. Can be used for single pimples, rashes, blackheads.

You can clean the skin only from minor defects; serious problems will have to be dealt with more aggressive methods. This procedure may be prohibited for the face if there is inflammation or disease of the dermis. The duration of epidermal tissue restoration is short – up to three days.

Ultrasonic

The use of ultrasound is one of the effective methods of getting rid of even serious defects. Ultrasound can simultaneously clean, relieve inflammation, and disinfect. After treatment, the elasticity of the skin increases, pores narrow, preventing the formation of new rashes or blackheads.

Regardless of what kind of facial cleansing a cosmetologist does, it is the use of ultrasound that is most often used. The main reasons are safety and absence of pain. The ultrasonic cleaning method is recommended for ladies with sensitive dermis - there is practically no irritation.

To achieve a good result, it is recommended to visit a cosmetologist at least once every three months. The effect of ultrasound has a rejuvenating effect, so you can abandon other manipulations that cleanse the dermis of dead cells. The duration of ultrasonic facial cleansing lasts about 40 minutes, including the application of a special gel that relieves irritation.

Hollywood

This is a cosmetic facial cleansing using phytic acid extracted from cereals and beans. What is included in the procedure? Manipulations occur in several stages:

  1. The dermis is completely cleansed of decorative cosmetics.
  2. The skin is treated with disinfectants.
  3. A mask is applied, the active component of which is phytic acid.
  4. After a quarter of an hour, the product is removed.
  5. A preparation is applied that closes the pores and relieves irritation.
  6. The remnants of the soothing composition are removed, and the cream, which has a moisturizing effect, is distributed in an even layer, which has a life-giving effect on sensitive dry skin.

The results are noticeable after the first manipulations with the use of phytic acid, but several sessions are recommended - the epidermal tissue will be completely renewed. They will begin the process of active production of substances that improve the elasticity of the dermis, tighten, and prevent sagging.

The question that worries many women is at what age they cleanse the skin using this method. Cosmetologists do not recommend using aggressive acids to get rid of defects at a young age - this can harm the tissues of the epidermis. The most effective use of phytic acid is after 35 years.

Galvanotherapy

A method when a device that produces low-frequency current discharges is used to clean the face. If you compare mechanical, ultrasonic, Hollywood cleansing, and ask a cosmetologist which of these procedures is the most effective in terms of effect, he will certainly recommend galvanotherapy.

The advantages of using current over other cleansing methods offered by modern cosmetology:

  • painless softening of sebaceous plugs;
  • opening of pores;
  • removal of contaminants;
  • melting sebum.

After treating certain areas of the skin, the cosmetologist uses a cotton wool pad to remove all impurities, pore contents, and purulent acne discharge. Cleaning lasts up to two hours, but for minor problems it takes much less time. After manipulation, be sure to apply a nourishing skin care product that can relieve irritation. The procedure is possible only after examination and consultation with a specialist.

Vacuum cleaning

The procedure is based on the dosed action of negative atmospheric pressure (air is pumped out from the drainage tube of the device).

Several types of nozzles are used:

  • Beak-shaped - for treating the T-zone.
  • Flat - for working with wrinkles.
  • A round drainage tube provides lymphatic drainage.

The technique is atraumatic - this is its main advantage. It is suitable for caring for oily, combination and normal skin.

Vacuum cleaning is often carried out after casting.

Indications:

  • aging skin with reduced turgor;
  • acne, comedones.

Efficiency

The effect of vacuum helps improve blood flow and lymph outflow in the treated area, as a result, natural regeneration processes are activated and swelling is reduced.

The device sucks out comedones and also has a slight exfoliation effect. After the first procedure, some of the blackheads disappear, the skin becomes cleaner and fresher.

Carrying out the procedure

The patient is placed on the couch and his hair is tucked under a cap.

Treatment is carried out in strict sequence along massage lines:

  • Chin: movement from bottom to top towards the nose or up and to the side towards the cheeks.
  • Cheeks: movements seem to tighten the skin - from the nose to the ears.
  • The forehead is processed in different directions.
  • A round nozzle of small diameter is used for the nose, the back is worked with longitudinal movements, and the wings are worked with circular movements.

Stages:

  • Thorough make-up removal, cleansing and degreasing of the skin.
  • Carrying out disincrustation.
  • Carrying out cleansing therapy using a vacuum apparatus. Depending on the area being worked on, the appropriate nozzle is selected (beak-shaped, flat or round).
  • Apply a soothing, regenerating and pore-tightening mask and cream.

The session takes 40-50 minutes. It is permissible to repeat 3-4 times per year with an interval of 3-4 months.

Precautionary measures

The vacuum cleaning procedure is considered gentle, but does not completely guarantee the preservation of tissue integrity.

It is important to remember to disinfect and sterilize attachments. You should also not lose sight of contraindications, neglect of which can harm not only beauty, but also your health.

Side effects:

  • The introduction of pyogenic flora into the tissue with the subsequent development of pustular diseases of the dermis.
  • Persistent hyperemia (more than 48 hours).
  • Formation of edema, pinpoint hemorrhages, hematomas (in case of poor technique, weak capillaries).

Contraindications:

  • Dry skin.
  • Expanded subcutaneous capillary network.
  • Telangiectasia.
  • Rosacea.
  • Any infections in the active phase.
  • Chronic dermatoses during exacerbation.

Buyanov Sergey Yurievich (Expert Doctor):

Vacuum use is contraindicated during pregnancy. The procedure causes a state of local stress, which can spread to the entire body, including the uterus and fetus.

At what age can you undergo the procedure?

At what age are manipulations usually done to cleanse the skin? This is a question that is most often asked to cosmetologists. The masters are categorical - only after reaching 16 years of age can you use aggressive methods on the skin. Even the mechanical method, which does not require the use of special drugs, is not recommended. In adolescence, it is better to use other means to cleanse the dermis and get rid of rashes. The salon can offer masks that have a gentle effect on the epidermal tissue, do not cause irritation, and do not injure the dermis.

At what age can you do ultrasonic cleansing? Will this have a negative effect on the skin? The master can recommend the procedure only to ladies over 25 years old. It is better for girls to use soft preparations with a gentle effect.

Is it possible to do a procedure for acne? Another problem that often worries women who cannot get rid of acne with prepared products. It should be remembered that cleansing in a salon is the only way to deal with acne using this method; it cannot be used at home. Various techniques allow you to painlessly and quickly deal with skin defects and prevent the formation of new acne.

Which cleaning is right for you?

Only a cosmetologist can decide what type of facial cleansing is suitable, and what preparations or devices can be used to obtain effective results. Preliminary examination, consultation, clarification of problems - only after this a specialist can recommend a method of cleansing the dermis.

The following will definitely be taken into account:

  • defects that need to be eliminated;
  • dermis type;
  • skin sensitivity;
  • age.

Do you know? It is not recommended to carry out peelings on your own using powerful means, even with minor skin problems. Only a specialist can accurately determine which compounds or methods can cope with defects without harm to the epidermis.

When is the best time to cleanse your face?

A problem that worries many women is when is the best time to cleanse their face. Cosmetologists recommend starting procedures in a cool, but not frosty season. In winter, the skin, freed from the top layer, can receive additional exposure to cold wind or frost. In summer, epidermal tissues that have not had time to regenerate may be damaged by ultraviolet radiation. The most favorable time to get rid of acne, clogged pores, and impurities is spring; you can go for treatments in the salon in the fall.

If you had to undergo a series of manipulations to cleanse the upper layer of the epidermis in winter or summer, you need to discuss with the specialist the means that can protect the skin from harmful effects. During the cold season, it is recommended to use moisturizing nutritional compositions that create a thin film. In summer you can’t do without drugs that protect against ultraviolet radiation.

Does cleansing your face help acne?

Is it possible to cope with rashes with procedures carried out in a salon, and does facial cleansing help with acne? It is possible to cope with a rash or single pimples only in the absence of contraindications or inflammatory processes that may accompany this defect. The facial cleansing procedure is possible only after examination by a specialist - it is not recommended to use aggressive compounds on your own.

The question of whether cleansing the skin will help get rid of acne is best asked to a cosmetologist - only a good specialist will determine whether the rash is caused by diseases. If there are hidden diseases, you must first undergo a course of treatment, and only then go for manipulation in the salon - usually just a few sessions of using ultrasound or chemical compounds are enough for the skin to completely clear.

Reviews from people who have undergone facial cleansing

If you study the reviews of women who carefully care for their skin, you will see that they recommend going to a salon to cleanse their face. Ladies believe that only special devices or professional preparations can effectively cleanse the skin without harming the epidermal tissue. If you trust a good specialist, you can get rid of not only acne and blackheads, but also stubborn pimples that are not affected by cosmetics.

Some ladies claim that a lot depends on the skill of the cosmetologist, who will carry out the manipulations, regardless of the chosen method, painlessly and quickly. It is better to avoid cheap salons or performing procedures at home - as reviews indicate, it is impossible to avoid problems in an attempt to save money.

Do women think that home cleaning can compete with salon treatments? If you carefully study the reviews, there are not too many supporters of leaving on your own. There are ladies who prefer to use available products based on oils or herbal raw materials, but they agree that effective cleansing cannot be achieved with such compositions.

Among the shortcomings in the reviews, women usually note the high price of the procedures. If you need to conduct several sessions, you will have to pay a considerable amount. There is also a positive point here - repeated manipulations will have to be done in 2-5 months.

If you need to cleanse the skin of dead skin particles, rashes, blackheads and other defects, you should not try to do it yourself - the results can be quite disappointing. Facial cleansing in a salon is the only way to avoid problems. Only a cosmetologist will select the safest and most effective method, which in just a few sessions will allow you to forget about unpleasant defects for a long time.

Incredible! Find out who is the most beautiful woman on the planet in 2020!

Recently, a procedure appeared in the range of services of beauty salons - ultrasonic facial cleansing. What is it, how safe is this procedure, how many procedures need to be performed for a lasting effect, are there any contraindications for it? You will find answers to these and other questions in this publication.

Ultrasound has been used in medicine since the 1930s. Today it is impossible to imagine diagnostics of internal organs and restorative physiotherapy without ultrasound. And since the end of the last century, it has been actively used in cosmetology. In particular, for ultrasonic facial cleansing. Of course, if you are running out of time and urgently need to whiten or cleanse your skin, you can use proven recipes from the articles How to quickly whiten your face at home and Cleaning your face at home. But this article will focus exclusively on ultrasound peeling.

Five advantages of ultrasonic facial cleansing

1. As a result of micromassage, blood supply to the dermis and lymph circulation in its deep layers improves. Thanks to this, blood flows intensely to areas affected by scars, post-acne, scars, stretch marks (stretch marks), helping to smooth and even them out. The skin becomes much cleaner and smoother.

2. Cleaning the stratum corneum makes the skin thinner, improves permeability and opens access to the active components of masks and creams into its deep layers, and also allows young cells to rise to the surface, thus renewing the dermis, leveling its microrelief and eliminating puffiness.

3. The effect on the sebaceous glands reduces the oiliness of the skin and removes the consequences of clogged pores - acne, shallow blackheads, etc. As a result, the skin is refreshed, becomes more elastic, softer and more hydrated.

4. For people of any age with any skin type, ultrasonic cleansing helps in the fight against skin pigmentation, including lightening age spots and dark circles under the eyes.

5. The action of ultrasound stimulates the saturation of cells with oxygen and increases the production of wrinkle-filling collagen and skin-tightening elastin. Thanks to this, the sagging of the lower part of the face decreases, and its oval becomes clearer.

Features of male facial skin

Men's facial skin is rich in sebaceous glands. In the area where stubble grows, the sebaceous glands are connected to the hair follicles, which causes acne. At the same time, acne is much more severe than in women: scars may appear. Men's skin is much more saturated with collagen and at the same time it is much more elastic. High levels of testosterone make men's skin thicker. Although signs of skin aging, such as wrinkles, appear much later, they are expressed much more clearly and are very reluctant to be corrected.

Men's facial skin is much more vulnerable. Over the years, she becomes more sensitive, especially in the area of shaving. Take care of her right away, especially if the following signs are observed:

  • The pores of the sebaceous glands expand;
  • Comedones appear;
  • A large number of acne in the healing stage;
  • Combination and aging skin;
  • There is a lack of skin tone.

Medical offers a course on facial skin cleansing for men. Our specialists successfully practice the following methods:

  • manual;
  • mechanical;
  • ultrasonic;
  • vacuum;
  • using the cosmetic line “Danne”.

A set of procedures is prescribed only after consulting specialists and identifying the root of the problem.

Sequence of the procedure

  • Pre-cleaning of the skin. The hardware procedure does not require such a deep preliminary effect as, for example, mechanical cleaning, before which it is necessary to apply a scrub and steam the epidermis. It is enough to remove makeup and remove dirt and dust from the face with regular cleansers.
  • Opening of pores and peeling. For more convenient and effective removal of dead cells, a composition containing lactic or fruit acids (gel or mask) is applied to the skin, after which a light massage is performed along the facial massage lines. This helps to gently remove a quarter to half of the dead skin cells, and also visibly refreshes and brightens the skin.
  • Ultrasonic exposure. For better penetration of ultrasound waves and glide of the device, a special gel is applied to the face. Further along the massage lines, at an angle of 30-40°, the cosmetologist begins to smoothly, with stroking movements, move the scrubber-emitter, which looks like a scraper. Under the influence of vibration and weak electrical impulses, the gel is whipped into a biologically active emulsion that penetrates deep inside and pushes out the contents of the pores. The patient may feel a slight tingling, tingling, or slight vibration during operation of the device. But still, the discomfort from the procedure is minimal, skin irritation is almost absent and goes away very quickly.
  • Aftercare. There is practically no need for a rehabilitation period, since negative reactions are usually not observed after this procedure. A soothing gel and antioxidant mask immediately after peeling, a moisturizing or nourishing cream the next day - this is what your skin will need.

Seven questions and answers about ultrasonic cleaning

What else do you need to know about the procedure? We will try to answer the main questions that arise.

1. Is it possible to carry out ultrasonic cleaning at home?

Yes, but for this you need to have your own home scrubber. Retail networks and websites offer a large selection of such devices; they differ from professional models in having fewer functions, lower power and an affordable price. The cleaning sequence is the same as in the salon, but perhaps a little simpler - without masks and massage. Before using the scrub, wipe your face with a cotton swab and lemon juice. If the skin becomes very red, stop brushing. For about an hour after the procedure, do not tense your facial wrinkles, do not laugh, do not talk or eat.

2. How long does the procedure take?

Usually this takes about half an hour, but with the use of additional services - masks, adding mechanical cleaning or ultraphonophoresis (introduction of medicinal or active cosmetic preparations into the deeper layers of the skin using ultrasound) - up to 1.5 hours. Simple home cleaning takes from 5 to 15 minutes.

3. How often should it be done?

The optimal interval between procedures is from 2-3 weeks to a month. In total, at least 8 of them will be required for a visible effect, and at least 15 for a sustainable result.

4. Is it possible to go to the beach or sunbathe in a solarium after cleaning?

There are no strict prohibitions, like after mechanical cleaning. But it is better to refrain from strongly exposing your skin to ultraviolet radiation for at least a week.

5. How long before a significant event - wedding, graduation - should the course begin?

A minimum of 8 procedures will take about two months if done weekly.

6. Are there age restrictions?

Ultrasonic cleansing is used to improve the health of both young and aged facial skin.

7. Are there any contraindications?

Unfortunately, there are – and quite a few. Even though ultrasonic cleaning has a minimum of side effects, no complications and is painless, it still has a number of serious limitations. These include:

  • During pregnancy and breastfeeding;
  • inflammation and acute infections with fever and fever;
  • chronic diseases in the acute stage, epilepsy, diabetes, cardiovascular and oncological diseases;
  • damage, fresh inflammatory phenomena on the skin or dermatological diseases - boils, purulent diseases, eczema, active herpes, acute form of acne, rosacea (vascular network);
  • any neoplasms on the face - both benign and malignant;
  • recent chemical peeling of the face and implantation of “golden threads”;
  • inflammation of the facial nerve, neuralgia, impaired sensitivity in certain areas of the face.

In addition, the procedure is not highly effective. To achieve a sustainable result, it is necessary to carry out 15-20 peels per year.

Taking into account the fact that the cost of one ultrasound cleaning session in a beauty salon is up to 2.5-3 thousand rubles, this adds up to a very decent amount. But if there are no contraindications and the procedure really helps, perhaps you should think about buying your own home scrubber. The simplest model is comparable in cost to one cleaning by professionals. And this may be the optimal solution to a pressing problem.

Regular and properly performed facial cleansing will help get rid of skin defects for owners of all types of epidermis, and will also help maintain youth and health of the dermis for a long period.

To achieve the maximum positive effect, before carrying out the first exfoliation, it is recommended to familiarize yourself with the features of various methods and the rules of cleaning in a beauty salon.

Facial care after the procedure

During the week after microdermabrasion, your facial skin requires maximum care. It is during this period that active cell renewal and restoration begins. Follow some recommendations that will help consolidate the result.

  • Apply sunscreen before going outside.
  • After the procedure, you should not sunbathe, visit swimming pools, or saunas.
  • Refrain from sports and physical activity. Excessive sweating causes irritation of the skin.
  • If the grinding process took place in the winter, avoid prolonged exposure to frosty air, especially if there is a strong wind outside.
  • If possible, do not use cosmetics during the recovery period.
  • Do not wipe your face with products that contain alcohol.
  • Follow your cosmetologist's recommendations. On an individual basis, the doctor will recommend which creams are best to use for two weeks.

Contraindications to diamond peeling

Mechanical peeling has absolute contraindications. You cannot pass it if:

  • The skin has inflamed pimples, open wounds, abrasions, burns, including sunburns.
  • Cuperosis.
  • Keloid scars.
  • Herpes.
  • Pustules and other inflammations.
  • The skin is hypersensitive.
  • The woman is pregnant.
  • Somatic or viral diseases (organ pathologies, colds, flu).
  • Malignant neoplasms, oncology.

Before the session, a qualified doctor will definitely ask the client about his state of health and examine his face.

Cost of the procedure

Diamond microdermabrasion is not a cheap procedure, but it is not very expensive either. The cost is influenced by the prestige of the beauty salon, the level of professionalism of the employees, as well as the use of additional cosmetic products. In Moscow, the cost varies from 1300 to 2500 rubles. In the regions the price is lower. Visitors can save a lot of money if they take advantage of a promotion or an individual discount.

Reviews

Evgenia, 41 years old. The procedure was recommended by a cosmetologist. I have combination, dull skin. I look tired all the time. There are many small wrinkles on the face. After the first session, the complexion changed and the contour tightened. I completed three sessions and am very pleased with the results!

Inna, 26 years old. It seems to me that diamond polishing is more suitable for women after 30 years of age. I decided to get it because of my freckles and grayish skin tone. The process was painless. At the end, the specialist applied a pleasant mask to the face. However, sanding didn't work for me. After treatment, pimples appeared on the skin.

Alena, 34 years old. I often visit a cosmetologist, so I know first-hand about diamond resurfacing of the face. The procedure suits me perfectly. There's definitely no need to be afraid. After it I look refreshed. So far, my skin has avoided wrinkles, just like other problems. And all thanks to timely care.

What is facial cleansing

Facial skin cleansing is a cosmetic procedure that helps eliminate skin defects using various techniques.

Why do you need facial cleansing?

Professional cleansing of contaminated or rash-prone facial skin will help:

  • normalize the production of subcutaneous sebum;
  • eliminate greasy shine, acne and post-acne;
  • get rid of comedones and acne;
  • activate the process of regeneration and blood circulation;
  • remove waste and toxic substances;
  • reduce the number of age spots and facial wrinkles;
  • tighten pores;
  • even out the complexion;
  • remove the keratinized layer of epidermal cells.

What is diamond facial resurfacing?

This is a mechanical peeling procedure, during which a specialist exfoliates dead epidermal cells with a device. This effect helps eliminate minor defects (acne, pigmentation). In addition, polishing helps the skin recover faster and start the process of cell regeneration. Diamond microdermabrasion is carried out using a device, the tip of which is coated with small diamond crystals.

The attachments for the device may be different. They differ in spray grain and size. Different tips are used for delicate and rough areas. The hardware device polishes the face like a cosmetic brush.

In one procedure, the cosmetologist eliminates excess oil, evens out the tone, makes the skin matte, and removes the stratum corneum. The cosmetology device has a special exhaust system, thanks to which the effect becomes more noticeable. The vacuum has a beneficial effect on blood circulation and stimulates the flow of blood to the tissues.

Varieties

There are several types of facial cleansing in a cosmetologist’s salon - the specialist must select a technique, taking into account the problems, type and initial condition of the skin.

Mechanical

The essence of the mechanical cleansing procedure is to remove rashes, blackheads and blackheads with a special Uno spoon or Vidal needle.

With manual peeling, a cosmetologist removes rashes using manual cleaning without auxiliary tools.

In cosmetology, this facial cleansing technique is used on combination or oily skin with enlarged pores and excessive production of subcutaneous sebum.

Brossage is a method of exfoliation in which pores are cleansed using special cosmetic brushes.

Ultrasonic

This technique is one of the least painful ways to cleanse the skin. The dermis is exposed to ultrasonic waves, which help remove impurities from the pores. In addition, the ultrasound device activates blood circulation and normalizes metabolic processes at the cellular level.

At the end of the cleansing process, the skin is covered with a soothing mask that helps tighten pores.

This type of peeling is suitable for those with combination epidermis. The main disadvantage is that it is ineffective against deep contamination.

Combined

The technique is based on alternating manual and ultrasonic exfoliation. It promotes:

  • improving the color of the dermis;
  • restoration of skin elasticity;
  • eliminating blackheads, small scars and facial wrinkles.

The technique is used to cleanse all types of epidermis, with the exception of overly sensitive and dry skin.

Vacuum

To begin with, the cosmetologist treats the dermis with a device that emits low-frequency waves and promotes maximum opening of pores.

Next, the main peeling is carried out using a vacuum-creating device, which has a slight lifting effect and allows you to painlessly remove impurities from various layers of the skin. At the end of the session, a nourishing cream with an anti-inflammatory effect is applied to the epidermis.

The technique is used on all skin types, however, when cleansing oily dermis it gives insignificant results.

Laser

This expensive technique has an aggressive effect on the epidermis - skin defects are burned out using a special laser, which activates the regeneration processes of the dermis.

This type of exfoliation is recommended for removing age spots, comedones and shallow wrinkles. Used to clean oily or combination skin with pronounced blemishes.

Atraumatic chemical

Exfoliation is performed using a concentration of acids selected taking into account the type of dermis. The technique not only helps eliminate deep-seated impurities, but also restores elasticity and healthy skin color.

Hollywood peeling uses phytic acid - this method is used to cleanse mature skin.

Galvanic

During galvanotherapy, a professional cleansing solution is evenly distributed over the skin, after which a specialist applies an electric current to it. The technique is not suitable for cleansing thin and dry skin.

Atraumatic facial cleansing is a comprehensive set of measures.

It cannot be called innovative; rather, this technique belongs to the “good old” and has already been tested over the years. Its second name is aesthetic superficial peeling.

This procedure aims to cleanse the surface of the face of sawdust, sebum, comedones and dead cells. The advantage is that it suits any skin type. The manipulation is painless, compared to traumatic cleansing, and the face looks fresh after it.

This method is ideal for busy people who do not have time for rehabilitation. Masking the face from redness for several days, which occurs after other types of procedures. For example, after mechanical cleansing of the face, it is better not to appear in public for three or four days, this is a traumatic manipulation. After the first few days, redness and peeling are visible on the face.

How to do facial cleansing in a salon

Facial cleansing in the salon is carried out in several stages.

Preparation for the procedure

Before exfoliation you must:

  1. A few weeks before cleansing, avoid tanning and all types of peeling.
  2. With prior agreement with your doctor, stop taking antibacterial agents. If there are active infectious or viral diseases, peeling should be postponed.
  3. 5–7 days before the procedure, avoid visiting the pool or sauna.
  4. Three days before cleaning, you should stop using cleaning products containing abrasive particles and cosmetics containing alcohol.

It is not recommended to have your face cleaned by a cosmetologist during menstrual periods - during this period, blood clotting decreases and pain during the procedure increases. In addition, during menstruation, the duration of restoration of damaged skin increases significantly.

Stages of the procedure

Each technique has its own characteristics, however, in general, the procedure is performed in several successive stages:

  1. Elimination of surface contaminants and cosmetic residues.
  2. Steaming the skin or applying a special solution, depending on the chosen exfoliation method.
  3. Removal of skin defects using equipment or manually.
  4. Treatment of cleansed epidermis with an antiseptic and moisturizer.

Any cleansing procedure lasts on average from 30 to 90 minutes.

Healing period

During the recovery period it is necessary:

  • For the first 24 hours, try not to touch your face with your hands and not wash your face;
  • refuse to use cosmetic products containing alcohol;
  • do not visit the solarium and swimming pool for several weeks;
  • minimize physical activity, as excessive sweating can lead to complications;
  • eliminate alcohol, which slows down the regeneration process and contributes to the appearance of swelling;
  • Avoid sudden changes in temperature; before going outside, regularly treat cleansed skin with sunscreen.

Atraumatic cleaning is a gentle and safe method.

It is called non-contact because there is no mechanical effect on the skin. After the procedure, the face does not turn red, there is no irritation or swelling. The skin is cleansed without mechanical damage and the procedure cannot therefore be called traumatic.

Atraumatic facial cleansing is carried out in five or six stages. First, the epidermis is cleansed of impurities, then a drug is applied that opens the pores. Next, peeling is done using fruit acids. They are applied gently and in the correct proportion, the procedure is repeated if necessary.

The substance contains a choice of 50 fruit acids.

Chemical peeling penetrates into the deep layers of the epidermis, destroying intercellular connections, and triggers exfoliation of keratinized elements of the facial surface. Thanks to this procedure, the skin is moisturized and cells are rejuvenated, due to the stimulating processes of profiling the basal layer of the skin.

The cosmetologist chooses the appropriate option for each client. The method of atraumatic facial cleansing is gentler than traumatic cleansing. It acts on a superficial level and does not cause damage. Next, apply herbal lotion and mask.

After removing it, the face is covered with a cream that matches the skin type and restores the epidermis. The master cosmetologist individually selects the appropriate product for each client. The average time for manipulation is one hour. But the effect on the inner layers of the epidermis lasts for another two days.

During this period, contraindications: solarium and solar radiation, visiting the bathhouse and sauna. It is advisable to apply protective preparations according to the recommendations of a cosmetologist.

Atraumatic cleansing solves the following skin problems:

  • unwanted pigmentation;
  • acne and comedones;
  • enlarged pores;
  • seborrhea;
  • acne scars and spots;
  • expression wrinkles;
  • facial pigmentation;
  • excessive oily skin.

The atraumatic cleansing method is acceptable at any age with minimal restrictions.

Contraindications for procedures to avoid harm to health;

  • open wounds and ulcers;
  • allergic rash;
  • herpes;
  • burns;
  • individual intolerance to the drugs used;
  • complex dermatological diseases.

The list of contraindications is minimal, but must be taken into account when planning atraumatic facial cleansing.

Opinion of cosmetologists

  • Elena Apostolyuk, cosmetologist: “I recommend that patients alternate between different cleansing techniques. For example, manual exfoliation, performed 2 times a year, helps remove impurities from the deep layers. The rest of the time, you should alternate between hardware or chemical types of peeling - this will help consolidate and achieve maximum effect.”
  • Anastasia Zaslavskaya, dermatologist, cosmetologist: “Cleansing is very beneficial for the skin - they eliminate dead cells, which activates the process of saturating the skin with oxygen, improves its appearance and color, and restores elasticity. The main rule that I strongly recommend that my patients follow is to take into account contraindications for the procedure and follow the recommendations for preparing and restoring the skin. If you do not adhere to this rule, you can greatly harm not only the original condition of the skin, but also the body as a whole.”

Manual cleaning

The procedure is one of the most “ancient” and reliable, it is of the mechanical type. It helps eliminate blackheads, cleanses pores of impurities, and also removes blackheads and milia.

After the recovery period, the face looks noticeably healthier and well-groomed.

Buyanov Sergey Yurievich (Expert Doctor):

The advantage of the classical procedure is complete control over the actions and condition of the patient, which is impossible to achieve with “machine cleaning”.

Indications:

  • Oily, problem or combination skin.
  • Presence of acne, comedones, milia.
  • Enlarged pores and blackheads.

Carrying out the procedure

The patient is placed on the couch, his hair is tucked under a disposable cap.

The doctor washes his hands with soap, puts on gloves and gets to work: he presses on the pore with two index fingers, and removes the freed acne with a napkin.

The session takes 45-50 minutes, procedures are carried out more often than once every 2-3 months.

Precautionary measures

Failure to comply with the technology can lead to blood poisoning (violation of asepsis, squeezing out festering elements).

Side effects:

  • Development of pustular diseases.
  • Formation of scars after rough work by a master.
  • Petechiae.
  • Long-lasting hyperemia or swelling.

Contraindications:

  • Inflamed, suppurating acne.
  • Pustular diseases (sycosis, furunculosis, carbunculosis).
  • Blood clotting disorder.
  • Dry, sensitive skin.

Patient reviews

  • Victoria, 30 years old: “I have had problematic and oily skin since childhood, so since I was 25 I have been doing mechanical cleansing 3 times a year. The technique is painful, but the result is worth it - sebaceous shine disappears, pores become smaller, and rashes and blackheads do not appear for a long time. I also tried the hardware method, but it gave short-term results.”
  • Marina, 25 years old: “I tried many types of exfoliation, but only Jessner peeling helped me cope with acne, hyperpigmentation and scars. Now my skin looks much better, which has helped me get rid of many insecurities and regain my self-confidence.”
  • Svetlana, 20 years old: “I have normal skin and ultrasonic peeling helped me get rid of rashes without difficulty or trauma to my skin. A wonderful and affordable treatment that I recommend to other people suffering from blackheads and acne.”

Exfoliation by an experienced cosmetologist in a salon is a procedure that requires practiced skills and special knowledge. In order not to harm your skin, clean only from highly qualified specialists who will select a cleansing method taking into account the characteristics of your skin.
