You can make an anti-cellulite remedy from coffee

Since some girls do not like preparing special products with their own hands, a “lazy” anti-cellulite option was invented.

To do this, just take some ground coffee beans and add them to your favorite shower gel. The remedy for fighting cellulite is ready.

When taking a shower, use the resulting product to massage problem areas for 5-10 minutes. It is best if you first steam your body in a hot shower.

There are other recipes for anti-cellulite coffee products:

  • a mixture of coffee grounds and vegetable oil interspersed with orange oil (citrus fruits stimulate the process of losing weight in the body);

Caffeine. Valuable for the skin are its properties to tone and stimulate the production of enzymes responsible for the regeneration of skin cells.

Chlorogenic acid is a powerful agent that protects the skin from the negative effects of ultraviolet radiation.

A complex of vitamins and minerals satisfies the nutritional needs of skin cells.

This complex composition and comprehensive action explains the results of using cosmetics containing natural coffee extract. A distinctive feature of such cosmetic potions in reviews is the ease of preparation, the rapid onset of a visible effect, a significant improvement in skin tone, and the normalization of fat metabolism.

An additional “bonus” when using products with natural coffee extract is the disappearance of dry skin.

Grounds for cosmetic purposes: pros and cons

Caffeine is the most famous component of the drink. It improves blood microcirculation and activates skin tone. Smoothing wrinkles and eliminating bags under the eyes is his merit. Coffee is also rich in potassium, calcium, phosphorus, contains vitamins PP and B2, and this is not the whole list. What else is different about the grounds?

  • Antioxidants. They have a stronger effect on the body than green tea extract or vitamin C. These substances can reverse the aging process.
  • Polyphenols. Provide a tightening effect and also slow down aging. Thanks to this component, the skin acquires firmness and elasticity.
  • Chlorogenic acid. In tandem with antioxidants, it protects skin cells from free radicals and ultraviolet radiation.
  • Carotenoids. Responsible for complexion and help end painful yellowness and various rashes, including acne and teenage acne. Thanks to this substance, cosmetic “caffeine” masks are famous as a source of golden skin tone.

How does coffee affect the skin?

Coffee is usually associated with caffeine, and indeed the majority of the product consists of this substance, but in addition to it, the composition of coffee beans includes acids (malic, acetic, nicotine), fats, carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, microelements, and antioxidants. That is why coffee, although not in large quantities, has long been used for cosmetic purposes. Coffee masks:

  1. increase skin firmness and elasticity;
  2. strengthen blood vessels;
  3. cleanse the skin, removing dead cells;
  4. protect from UV rays;
  5. activate the process of skin regeneration in case of damage;
  6. slow down the aging process.

Let's add to this the similar effect on the skin of honey, which is a natural antibiotic that can penetrate into the deep layers of the skin, and we get the amazing rejuvenating effect that a coffee and honey facial mask is capable of.

  • Sugar scrub is not as effective, and therefore is quite suitable for both dry and normal skin. Two tablespoons of grounds are mixed with 1 tablespoon of sugar and applied to the face. The action of the scrub is purely mechanical, but this is enough to clean the pores.

The stimulating effect of coffee knows no comparison. It is worth taking advantage of its advantages not only to restore good health, but also to restore a blooming appearance.

Reviews on the use of tea tree essential oil for acne: .

Are there any contraindications to using coffee scrub?

As you know, the coffee drink itself has many contraindications, but we are talking about a scrub, that is, about the local use of this product. But even with this use there are limitations.

  • The scrub should not be used by people with very sensitive skin, as exfoliation will lead to even greater thinning of the skin;
  • You should not use this product if you have pustules or severe scratching, as the skin may be injured;
  • You should not scrub your face more than 2 times a week (this rule applies to all types of exfoliators).

Who needs a coffee mask?

The most common indications for using a mask with coffee include:

The appearance of signs of skin aging.

Dullness, disappearance of the normal healthy complexion of the skin.

Dryness of the epidermis.

Presence of acne.

Signs of nutritional deficiency in combination skin type; for example, areas of peeling, thinning of the skin.

Useful recipes against acne on the face

Well, now we’ve moved on to the most important thing - the list of recipes that you can easily prepare yourself at home. My patients tried all these mixtures on themselves and left only positive reviews. I have highlighted the most effective recipes:

To prepare this composition you will need five coffee beans, 4 tablespoons of cocoa bean butter (small spoons). We grind the grains or grind them in a blender (coffee grinder). After this, mix all the ingredients thoroughly and add to your face cream.

Then we cleanse our face with tonic or milk and apply the prepared mixture. Massage thoroughly (without pressure) your face and neck and leave the mixture for half an hour.

So cocoa bean butter in combination with coffee will work better. After this time, rinse everything off with warm water.

I note that to prepare this scrub mask, you can use the remains of ground grains.

Here we will take coffee, honey, aspirin. This scrub will leave your face clean, soft, and free of acne marks. So, grind 5 tablets of the medicine, add coffee grounds in the amount of 1 tablespoon, as well as honey.

Mix everything and apply to the surface of the face with massaging movements. It is best to leave the mixture for 10 minutes, then rinse with water.

A mixture of coffee grounds, egg whites, and yogurt will help get rid of blackheads. To do this, take a small spoon of the grounds, mix with protein and yogurt (in the same proportions) and apply to your face. Leave for 20 minutes and then wash off.

A scrub mask for oily skin with rose water, dry milk and natural coffee will get rid of the most severe acne.

Just take the above ingredients in equal proportions, mix, bring to a paste-like consistency with rose water, apply to your face for 15 minutes, then rinse off.

Skin nourishing mixture based on coffee grounds and milk. Take 3 large spoons of coffee grounds, mix with milk until a thick mass is formed (so as not to spread on your face). Lightly rub all this into the skin and leave for 15-20 minutes.

Remember, when you remove the scrub mask, you should do a light facial massage, and after the procedure, do not forget to apply moisturizer.

  • Recipe No. 6

Coffee scrub-mask with salt and honey. Salt, like coffee, is an amazing scrubbing agent.

So, take all the ingredients in equal quantities, add a chicken egg, brown sugar, and beat until thick. Apply the mixture for 10 minutes all over your face and neck, avoiding the eye and mouth area.

Coffee scrub with cosmetic clay is ideal for deep cleansing of the dermis. To prepare the mixture, take 1 tablespoon of blue or white clay and mix with coffee.

You can also add orange zest to it. Dilute the mixture to a thick consistency using boiled or rose water and apply to your face for 10 minutes, then wash thoroughly.

  • Recipe No. 8

A curd and coffee scrub mask will moisturize the skin and get rid of acne and blackheads. Take 3 tablespoons of cottage cheese and add 3 teaspoons of ground coffee beans or grounds. After this, thoroughly scrub your face and neck and rinse with warm water.

Well, friends, my article has come to an end. I advise you to drink less coffee, and instead use it as scrubs and masks. After just a month of regular procedures, you will notice a positive result that will last for a long time.

Bella: Day face cream “Coffee” MiKo

When I was young and free, I could spontaneously take time off from work and go on vacation! And one day, in Turkey, I developed an allergy to the sun! Yes, yes, I didn’t expect it myself, but my whole face was covered in spots, which only went away upon my arrival home, in Moscow. Since then, I have been sensitive to the choice of day cream in the spring and summer! This spring I used two new to me creams with SPF, and now I want to compare them and help you make a choice if SPF is also important to you!

For comparison, I took equivalent domestic natural brands that actually produce cosmetics with 100% natural ingredients. One stamp is from Kirov, the other is from St. Petersburg. Have you already guessed what we'll be talking about? Well, of course, about MiKo and Levran!

I will compare Coffee Day Cream MiKo and Calendula Sunscreen Face Cream Levrana. I’ll say right away that the sun protection factor of both creams is small, MiKo has SPF10 , and Levrana has SPF 15 . And if you are going to the south, under the scorching sun, and your skin is not yet prepared for tanning, then it is better to take a special cream with a high sun protection factor. If your skin is white and burns quickly, then it is better to start with SPF 50, then as you acquire a bronze tint, this factor can be reduced. If your skin itself is dark, but still quickly burns in the sun (reddens, peels), then you can start with SPF 30, and then gradually reduce it to SPF10. The creams that will be discussed are well suited for use in the city, and not in extreme conditions. These are not tanning creams for direct sun exposure, but rather light protection against the appearance of new age spots or freckles in the spring and summer. Provided that you do not tan on purpose, but lead a normal lifestyle. House-street-office-street-house.

I’ll tell you about each cream separately, and at the end I’ll compare them.

Coffee face cream MiKo

This is an excellent soft face cream for daytime care for dry and sensitive skin! Even if it didn't have SPF, it would be nice to use in the fall and mild winter. The cream is packaged in a 30 ml dark glass , has a hygienic pump dispenser and a plastic cap that protects the dispenser from the penetration of enemy microbes.

The sun protection factor of the cream is provided by green coffee oil , after which the cream itself is named. But besides this factor, the cream has excellent care qualities, which it got from pearl and ginseng extract. In general, the ingredients are selected in such a way as to moisturize the skin, soften it, protect it from aggressive environmental influences, fight free radicals, even out the complexion, stimulate collagen production and even nourish the skin !

The full composition is given on the label in Latin!

Previously, on MiKo labels you could read the ingredients in two languages, now only in one. But especially for you, with the help of a service for analyzing the composition of cosmetics, I will demonstrate that there is nothing wrong with the cream. The composition is 100% natural !

The cream is rich in oils, so I only use during the day (I practice a night-time, oil-free treatment). Thanks to natural structure-forming agents, such as neem wax, honeysuckle extract, macaley, the cream turned out to be soft, delicate, pliable, but not at all greasy, but not dry either . It is pleasant to use, it spreads easily, is quickly absorbed, and does not leave any greasy shine or a feeling of film or oiliness on the skin. And what a aroma! I know that many ecoholics, and myself, are very sensitive to smells. If the smell is sharp and unpleasant, the product simply cannot be used! Not to mention that some odors can trigger respiratory allergies! But the Coffee cream, contrary to its name, does not smell like coffee, but… lemongrass ! In addition to this essential oil, the composition also includes lavender and peppermint essential oils, but I don’t smell them at all, but I can clearly smell the smell of freshly cut grass! I had MiKo Lemongrass Essential Oil and it is excellent quality! I'm sure MiKo uses the same essential oils in her cosmetics that she sells!

The cream has a light yellow tint , does not flow and does not dry out instantly. It's a pleasure to work with him! I add a drop of cream to my cheeks, forehead and chin.

I distribute it over the skin with light massage movements, and then “rub” it into the skin with patting, pressing movements. I do this without tension, only with light movements with minimal effort. After a minute, the cream was already absorbed , it was completely invisible on the skin!

I used every day for 2 months and one week , I had already run out . This time fell on March-April-early May. As you remember, during this time it was both hot, +23 degrees, and cold, around zero with snow. Cream Coffee performed well! He made me feel comfortable in any weather! He protected my skin both in bad weather and in the sun. With it, the skin was moisturized, nourished, and protected. There was no telltale redness or peeling, there weren’t even small pimples! It amazed me! The skin with coffee cream is soft, velvety, pleasant to the touch, beautiful, I like it myself , and my husband is delighted!

After opening, the cream is stored for 6 months , so if it doesn’t suit you right away or you suddenly decide to use a different cream, don’t worry. Coffee cream will wait for you for six months. Without opening, the cream is stored for only 1 year.

The consistency of the Coffee cream is similar to the CHIC MiKo cream, but a little lighter. Coffee cream cannot be called thick and dense, but at the same time, when it runs out, it becomes not so easy to remove it! The pump worked fine for 2 months. The hole in the dispenser is small, so you won’t take too much. This is a plus of packaging!

But for the last 2 weeks I kept the bottle upside down (the dispenser stopped dispensing it) so that the cream flowed from the bottom to the lid. Now my bottle is completely empty, but it is not transparent, because... Some of the cream still remained on the walls.

I scraped out the remains with my original dispenser tube.

Among the packaging features, I can also add that the label is made of recycled paper, but I took the bottle with dry hands, so its appearance remained presentable. And also that the protective plastic cap is cracked. But I still continued to use it, this does not affect the quality of the product.

It seems that I have taken the Coffee cream apart, I’m moving on to Levrana!

Facial cream Calendula Levrana

The manufacturer claims that Calendula cream is suitable for all skin types and has a mattifying effect . If you have oily or combination skin, you may appreciate this feature. With my dry and sensitive skin, I did not notice such an effect, because... I don’t suffer from oiliness in the T-zone or anywhere else. But this cream doesn’t dry out skin , which is a plus. The uniqueness of the cream is the lamellar structure of the emulsion, which is as close as possible to the structure of the upper lipid layer of the skin. Thanks to this, the cream is integrated into the skin cells, restoring it . Calendula cream has a sun protection factor of 15 SPF thanks to physical filters: titanium dioxide and zinc oxide . These filters are not absorbed into the skin, but remain on its surface, providing a safe sunscreen.

The cream is in a 50 ml dark glass , which is also packaged in a cardboard tube. It makes sense to store cream in a tube if you take it with you, to the country house or on a short trip. If you only use the cream at home, then it makes sense to keep the glass bottle in a dark cabinet and come up with another purpose for the tube.

Active ingredients include Calendula, Viburnum, Aloe Vera, Flax, Ginkgo Biloba, Birch and Clover . The full composition is presented on the packaging in two languages, which is of course convenient.

Despite the fact that only ylang-ylang can be seen among the essential oils in the composition, for some reason I clearly smell the aroma of calendula ?! It grows in our dacha every year, so I had the opportunity to “smell” it! Although in nature its aroma is not as pronounced as in this cream. I don't smell ylang-ylang at all)

Calendula cream is completely white! It is similar to regular sunscreens, which come in exactly this color.

The cream is not soft or pliable, it is difficult to distribute, it is not completely absorbed and leaves white streaks. Whoever didn’t have time to rub it into the skin, the cream is not to blame!) I don’t have time. But the fingertips remain whitish.

For clarity, I’ll show you how the cream looks on your hand. And I squeezed out only one drop (one press on the dispenser). Distributing it is long and tedious.

Now I’ll show you on my face. I apply only 2 drops of cream and at the same time begin to rub it with both hands in a circular motion so that it does not have time to dry out. In this case, the number with pressing movements will not work, because the cream is “dry” , it lacks softness and oiliness, it can dry out in place as a white spot!

White streaks are visible on the face . If you are distracted for a second, the cream will dry on the skin in white spots. Therefore, I carefully rub it into the skin and do not get distracted) But even after rubbing, I am not sure that the cream is completely absorbed. It seems to be not so noticeable, but at the same time it lies on the face, whitening the skin .

For me, Calendula cream is less convenient. I don't feel any particular softness that the cream can give to the skin. But it does not cause any unpleasant sensations or phenomena, does not dry out, does not tighten the skin, does not make the skin greasy, does not create shine or a filmy feeling . Imperceptible when worn. But it’s hard to call it nourishing or moisturizing.

The packaging of the cream is of high quality, this is, of course, worth noting! The cream is equipped with a dispenser that dispenses a minimal amount of product.

By the way, here’s a consistency test! It is not liquid, rather thick and dry, in the sense of not oily. If you turn the lid over, the cream does not fall, it is already stuck to the lid, and it also sticks to the skin!

Problems with the dispenser will arise as always in the end! A special feature of Levrana’s packaging is that all the tubes in the creams are very short and do not reach the bottom! Therefore, when the product runs out, you have to open the dispenser and remove the product yourself.

The cream can be stored in a closed container for a year, and after opening it must be used within 3 months. The shelf life is short, but there's nothing you can do about it

Comparative analysis

And now I want to compare both creams and tell you about some more features that I kept silent about

Both creams are in eco-friendly containers , in a dark glass bottle. But MiKo cream needs to be handled more carefully, because... The water makes the label wet, but nothing will happen to Levrana’s label.

The dispensers for both creams have the same operating principle: you press and the cream comes out. And the same disadvantages: the cream is not extracted until the last drop.

The compositions of both creams are completely natural and environmentally friendly! The sun protection factor is small in both cases; 5 SPF units do not make a fundamental difference. But there is a difference in the origin of the sun protection factor! In MiKo cream it is green coffee oil, and in Levrana cream it is titanium dioxide and zinc oxide.

The biggest difference lies in the ease of applying creams and their care qualities!

MiKo cream is definitely easy to apply; it is light, gentle, spreads without problems, and does not leave greasy spots or white marks. Levrana cream is the complete opposite! It's dry and lacks the oiliness to apply easily. It is difficult to distribute, leaves white streaks, is not completely absorbed and whitens the skin. The photo clearly shows that the skin is already a little tanned, but after applying Levrana cream, the skin is whitened and the tan is not visible.

But! There is also the other side of the coin. I usually do beauty rituals right in the morning, as soon as I wake up, between 5 and 7 am. Then I start doing household chores, often wet cleaning the apartment. So, while cleaning, the skin under the MiKo cream sweats, I feel that the cream is floating. But there is no such effect under Levrana cream. The skin under Calendula does not sweat, the cream does not run, and in general I do not feel any discomfort!

As for the care qualities , I had more opportunity to test the MiKo cream. It did not fail either in hot weather (+23 degrees) or in rain and snow. The skin felt great and well-groomed! With Calendula cream, I don’t feel particularly hydrated or nourished, but there are no unpleasant reactions either. I doubt that Calendula cream will be able to protect the skin in bad weather, so it can only be considered as a spring-summer product. And I even think that not only for the face, but also for the body. The volume of Levrana cream is large, 50 ml; it may not be used up during the entire shelf life (3 months), so it can be applied to the décolleté area and the body! MiKo cream can be used for dry and sensitive skin all year round (provided there is a mild winter).

Aroma is a purely individual matter. Essential oils are used as flavoring agents in both creams. Cream Coffee smells of lemongrass and freshly cut grass, very gentle and unobtrusive. Calendula cream smells like calendula, which is also pleasant and quite natural. I tolerate both scents well, I like them.

For ease of perception, I made a sign. It shows that in terms of 1 ml MiKo cream is more expensive than its domestic competitor, but in general the prices are acceptable and low. Each cream has its own characteristics. What you choose depends on your preferences. If I had known in advance how both creams would behave, I would most likely have taken the Coffee MiKo cream again.

What would you choose?
