How to make almond milk?

Almond milk is quite simple to make.

For 1 glass of milk you need to take about 15 almond kernels, rinse them thoroughly and soak in warm boiled water overnight. For this amount of almonds you will need approximately 0.5 cups of water. Overnight the nuts will swell and they will need to be peeled and the infusion itself will need to be strained. Now you need to place the nuts in a blender and pour the strained infusion over them and beat everything thoroughly at maximum power for 5 minutes. The resulting milk can be strained.

Almond milk is ready.

Some may find it bland, so you can add honey, cane sugar, and spices (cinnamon, cardamom) to suit your taste. It will be incredibly tasty!

You can use 1-3 glasses per day.

Testing handmade cosmetic milk

A little milk on a cotton swab and on your painted eyes!

I rubbed it lightly, moistened the milk, and then dissolved the mascara. I wiped my eyelashes and eyelids with cotton – clean!

By the way, I applied liquid milk to my face and hands, then washed it off with boiled water. An excellent product - the skin, strange as it may sound, even “creaked”. But it was not low fat! Nice feeling. Thanks to the oil composition, dirt and sebaceous secretions were easily removed from the skin, leaving it clean and even moisturized.

After washing with water, I once again used the new mixture, but as a cream. Pleasant sensations, quickly absorbed, leaving a slightly greasy trace.

Try it, it's worth it.

Almond milk can be used to remove makeup: apply the milk to the face, neck and décolleté using your fingertips or a cotton swab, leave for a while to act, then carefully remove the residue with a cotton pad or cosmetic napkin. Milk softens the skin, normalizing metabolic processes and fluid balance in skin cells, thereby restoring the firmness and elasticity of the skin. It is especially effective for dry and normal, as well as very sensitive skin. Almonds have many beneficial and medicinal properties for the body and are widely used in folk medicine due to their healing composition: almonds contain a large amount of unsaturated fats, they contain essential fatty acids, valuable vitamins (especially groups B and E) and minerals (in particular, potassium, phosphorus, copper and iron). Sweet almond oil is obtained from almond kernels by cold pressing, so it is free of synthetic impurities and environmentally friendly. Sweet almond oil is non-toxic, non-irritating and suitable for all skin types. Softens and nourishes the skin, absorbs well and cleanses pores. Wheat germ oil stimulates metabolic processes, improves skin condition, improves complexion, rejuvenates the skin, keeps the skin elastic and fresh, has an anti-inflammatory, wound-healing, cleansing effect.

Cosmetic milk: what is it, how to use

Cosmetic milk, like natural milk, is an emulsion consisting of two immiscible liquid phases, one of which is “crushed” into the other in the form of small particles. Thus, milk consists of an aqueous phase and emulsion waxes. In addition, the milk looks similar to regular dairy products. And just as useful.

In the old days, cosmetologists advised wiping oily skin with kefir or whey, and dry skin with cream or milk.

Water only washes away dirt, irritating the skin and disturbing its pH. The effect of the milk is gentle and multifaceted; it is used to cleanse the skin both in the morning and in the evening before applying a nourishing cream. Milk dissolves fats of the skin mantle, sweat, keratinized scales of the epidermis, frees pores from impurities, sebum, and all waste products of the skin. Unlike water, it does not disturb the water-salt balance of the skin and soothes.

It is better to apply milk to damp skin (water-soluble vitamins and active ingredients penetrate cells better in a humid environment) - but not to wet skin, otherwise the milk will not be absorbed, and this will reduce its effectiveness.

The milk itself is removed with a paper napkin or cotton pads soaked in tonic (you can rinse with water and then wipe with a napkin and tonic).

Like most other modern cosmetics, milk is stored for about 2 years. Unlike its “big brother,” milk does not need to be refrigerated. Room temperature is quite enough.

Today it is recommended to use only one line of products at a time, but change the brand from time to time. Modern cosmetics are a product of high technology. Its components are highly active, and in order for the unique properties of dietary supplements not to “disappear,” the preparations must have high penetrating ability. Due to the presence of the same components in all drugs of the same line, the effect of each product is prolonged and enhanced, especially if such use occurs regularly. If you apply a tonic of a different line after the milk, you will not achieve the promised effectiveness.

Cream is another name for cosmetic milk. The “percentage of fat” in them is the same, and so is the effect.

The main task of cosmetic milk is cleansing. Along with this, modern milk performs certain additional functions:

Milk for oily skin does not clog pores and regulates increased sebum secretion.

Milk for dry skin protects the natural protective film of the skin from destruction, actively nourishes the skin, gives it firmness and elasticity.

And milk for sensitive skin is ideal for delicate and sensitive areas of the skin, smoothes the skin, eliminates irritation, peeling and redness.

Milk acts as one of the stages of skin cleansing. If you are going to carry out a peeling procedure , you must first prepare the skin in the following sequence:

  1. Gel
  2. Milk for sensitive skin
  3. Tonic

Then apply peeling agent. Rub it in with light circular movements, then rinse with warm water, lightly pat your face with a napkin and apply a mask or nourishing cream.

Cosmetic milk cannot be used instead of cream , only because each of the cosmetics performs its own function in maintaining healthy skin, so you should not shorten the list in the hope of doing without something.

However, from time to time the milk can be used as a nourishing mask . To do this, first, as usual, cleanse the skin with milk, then apply the milk again, in a thicker layer. Leave for 5-7 minutes, then remove with a napkin.

You can make your own makeup remover milk. Boil mint leaves in 0.5 liters of water, let it brew for 15 minutes, strain, cool. In the resulting mint decoction, dilute 2-3 tablespoons of dry cream or milk powder (you can take baby formula). Store the milk in the refrigerator in a glass bottle. After using the milk, it is better to rinse your face with water.
