Biography
Vika with the last name Zhukova was born on October 28, 1963 in the city of Khabarovsk. Vika Tsyganova's father served as a naval officer, and her mother looked after the hearth and raised her daughter. Since childhood, artistry was noticeable in Vika. Vika loved to organize concerts and performances at home, and when she grew up, she moved to the school stage. Victoria graduated from school in the early 80s and then went to the city of Vladivostok, where she immediately entered the Institute of Arts. Four years later, Vika Tsyganova already had the education of a theater and film actress. During her studies, Vika continued to study vocals; she studied at the department of opera singing, where she persistently trained her voice.
Career as an actress and singer
The first serious scene in Vika Tsyganova’s career was the graduation production “Our People - Let’s Be Numbered.” She played Lipochka in it. This is where her theatrical career began. In the mid-80s, Victoria was accepted into the troupe of the Jewish Chamber Musical Theater. A year later, Vika was busy in performances of the Ivanovo Regional Drama Theater. She worked here for only one year. Vika remained in creative search. In 1988, Vika Tsyganova began playing in the youth theater of Magadan, she was entrusted with the main roles, which she successfully coped with. She developed not only as an actress, but also sang wonderfully. In the same year, Vika Tsyganova became the soloist of the group “Sea”. She liked her work as a vocalist so much that her career as an actress was left behind. Together with the group “Sea”, tours began throughout the Soviet Union. Each performance of the singer was a success. As a soloist of the group “Sea”, the girl released two albums.
By the end of the 80s, Vika realized that she was ready to start a solo career. Musical accompaniment was provided by musician Yuri Pryalkin, and songs were written by Vadim Tsyganov, whom Vika later married. A year later, her first solo album was ready. Vika gave her first solo concert at the capital's variety theater in the early 90s. After this, Vika Tsyganova’s songs began to be broadcast on central channels. From that time on, she began to release an album every year and actively give concerts. Since 1996, Vika Tsyganova’s repertoire began to include lyrical songs. And in 1998, the singer decided to radically change her image. Her songs have changed, and she herself has changed. But by the beginning of the 2000s, fans saw the singer in her usual role as a chanson singer. Since 20011, Vika Tsyganova began to please the public less and less with her appearance on stage and took up a completely different line of activity. Her new hobby was creating clothes; she created her own brand “TSIGANOVA”

Tsyganova says jokingly about her age: “Who told you that number? I do not know anything. I’m 35, period!” The artist really looks much younger. She leads a fairly active lifestyle, plays sports, eats right... And has been happily married for more than 30 years. However, in a conversation with StarHit, Vika unexpectedly revealed that she had to share her husband with another.
Family idyll
— Do you already know how you will celebrate your birthday?
Believe me, there are plenty of feasts. It’s not for nothing that I sing: “Come to my house!..” I recently even settled Italian musicians in an estate near Moscow: a guitarist, a lighting designer, a sound producer - together with them we are preparing for the performance, adding the finishing touches, I have two big concerts planned . The first will take place on November 2 at Crocus City Hall. In addition to the anniversary, this year I will celebrate my thirtieth anniversary on stage. My husband is not against new neighbors, because he found them himself and brought them to Russia.
— I recently read that Tsyganova changed beyond recognition and went under the surgeon’s knife...
Nonsense! That's what envious people say... In general, I have a calm attitude towards plastic surgery, when it is public, it is necessary. I had surgery to change the shape of my eyelids, but never had beauty injections. I'm afraid of them. Recently I tried to learn how to ride a bicycle, and ended up falling face down on the sidewalk: I got a black eye and a cut on my eyebrow. So when they stitched up the wounds, I screamed more from the sight of the needles than from the pain. I think scars only make a heroic woman like me look better! They are probably thinking about changes in appearance, because I have lost a lot of weight - I keep my weight around 57 kilograms. I go for massages, to the bathhouse, and use aesthetic medicine services. I don’t eat at night and, in principle, I don’t overeat: if I want a piece of cake, it’s only in the morning with tea.
— Do you also control your husband Vadim’s nutrition?
He takes care of himself. He settled in the kitchen, like Carlson: he constantly makes some kind of tinctures, flaxseed porridge, nibbles nuts, eats prunes. He even forces his mother-in-law to insist on miraculous decoctions. I think Vadim wants to live forever. He probably likes some girls, but so far I haven’t caught him with anyone.

— Does he get along with his mother-in-law?
He supports her in everything, makes her happy, has a great relationship, they even tease each other with such love! Vadim asks: “Lyudmila Mikhailovna, did you take the pills?” She told him: “Do you have your own rejuvenating tinctures?” Without my mother, they would have died of hunger, but in the morning they always wait for omelets, goat’s milk, vegetables from the garden...
— How do you maintain romance in a relationship?
She’s gone, probably more of a creative interest. Although favors slip by: for example, recently, while we were flying on a plane, Vadim dedicated a poem to me. Sometimes we get tired of each other, then we run off to different rooms, but quickly start to get bored. There were moments in marriage that tested feelings. We survived! As they say, the first 20 years are hard, then you get used to it and everything becomes great.
- Is your spouse jealous?
Well, if he drinks, then the passion may worsen. Vadim is quite adequate, so we don’t test each other with strong drinks.
— How do you feel about alcohol?
Calm down: I can even go overboard, and sometimes even give up altogether. I consider wine to be a divine drink, and man should not forget that he is God’s creation.
Fighting character
— Do you often seek advice from a spiritual mentor?
He guides my husband and I. In Moscow we go to a temple that was built near our house. On holidays we go to Elder Elijah. We also visit Father Nikolai Sokolov, he serves in the church at the Tretyakov Gallery.
- What are you asking for?
Prayer comes in your own words. For the health of loved ones, or for things to happen. Money doesn’t fall from heaven... After some time, a person appears who, for example, helps film a video or provides financial support.
- It so happened that you have no children. They said that adopting a child is a responsible step: they say, you are not ready. How do you feel about surrogacy?
We had such a moment, we contacted. True, we did not receive a blessing. And a little later I found out that several eggs can be fertilized at once. Unnecessary children, let’s say, are destroyed, but for me they are already living souls. It didn't work out that way.

- Do you have godchildren?
Of course! Sasha is the son of Misha Krug. True, it’s a shame that she was not present at the sacrament, but people still wanted her to become a second mother. We rarely see Sashka, but I always light candles for him in church and give notes about his health. When we last saw him, she asked him not to forget about dad and to help mom in everything. Turn to higher powers so that her work progresses and her patience and strength do not diminish. There is also a godson, John, who is engaged in singing. I think he is the future Chaliapin. Then three-year-old Kolenka, he was baptized with Fyodor Konyukhov. And among the girls - Sonya, the daughter of a niece from Blagoveshchensk, a miracle, not a child!
-You are so happy! Do you never cry?
Rarely. Apparently, a fighting character. Sometimes I can tear up during confession or at the communion of small children. In such seconds I understand: the heart is not made of stone, it is capable of being touched.
— How do you feel about signs?
To dwell on them is a sin. But I am human and sometimes I break the commandment. I remember before my father’s death a bird flew into the room: there was no doubt that this was a sign. Then I just started crying. The same thing happened before the death of Misha Krug. I advise you not to think about omens often, because they materialize. For every action there is a reaction. I see a black cat running by, I put a cross on the road!
— They wrote that they were going to Dom-2 to help the participants understand themselves. Are you watching the show?
No, honest pioneer! This is a monstrous project. It's a pity, he has admirers. All its participants would be sent to rehabilitation.
— Have you thought about retiring from your career?
Happens. All because of fatigue from flying. I really want to draw, I love painting. I like caring for flowers, being in a state of meditation, unity with nature... But my husband needs me. He rejoices like a child when I perform his poems and songs. And there are many fans. As long as you have strength, you need to continue working for it!
If there was an appearance adjustment, then what kind?
Vika Tsyganova had several plastic surgeries in her life; among other things, she had rhinoplasty. The nose that nature endowed her with is said to have been like a potato. And after the correction, Vika Tsyganova’s nose became sharper and acquired more regular aristocratic shapes. After the lifts, her face became refreshed and she began to look much younger. Fans of the singer, looking at her photos before and after plastic surgery, were divided into two camps.
One part felt that the operation only deprived Vika of her individuality, making her look like all the other stars who get facelifts. The other part, on the contrary, thought that their favorite singer began to look much better and younger. According to Vika Tsyganova, it is necessary to resort to the services of plastic surgeons only in extreme cases, apparently beauty injections became this extreme case for her. Many believe that there were several such interventions in Vika’s life, and that is why, at 54 years old, she has healthy, well-groomed, toned skin that looks completely natural.
