Probably every person cares about facial beauty, but women especially. From childhood to old age, a woman makes considerable efforts to maintain her beauty.
For young girls to be attractive, simple skin care is enough, that is, they need to keep it clean. A drop of makeup will only emphasize her youth and beauty.
But after 30 years, and even more so after 50, the fight against facial wrinkles begins, and we use various means that are designed to help us. Today there are a huge number of products on sale from different manufacturers for face and neck rejuvenation. These are washing gels, all kinds of tonics, serums, creams. You just need to choose the right one. But sometimes the prices for such products are simply exorbitant. And it is not always possible to achieve the expected effect.
Pharmaceutical peeling preparations
The word peeling is translated from English as exfoliation. This procedure involves the removal of dead cells, which promotes skin renewal, enhances its oxygen supply and activates blood supply. The peeling procedure can be carried out at home using both ready-made products offered by cosmetics manufacturers and those prepared independently.
Much of what is sold in pharmacies can be an alternative to expensive cosmetics.
Badyaga
Freshwater coelenterate sponge in the form of powder or ready-made gel helps fight swelling and redness. Thanks to its noticeable tightening effect, badiaga has acquired anti-aging status.
The powdered product must be diluted with hydrogen peroxide and applied to the face moistened with water. Keep the mask for no more than 5–10 minutes (until you feel a strong burning sensation). After applying the procedure, temporary redness is observed (up to several hours), which zinc ointment will help to cope with.
It is better to use badyaga gel by mixing it with liquid honey in a ratio of 1 to 1. Apply for 15 minutes and rinse with water at room temperature.
Calcium chloride
The peeling roll can be used in two ways. In the first case, calcium chloride is applied to a clean, dry face; after it has dried, a second layer should be applied. When both layers are dry, lather your hands with baby soap and gently roll the lumps off your face using massaging movements.
The second option involves performing the following steps:
- Lather your hands with dye-free baby soap.
- Dip your fingertips in calcium chloride.
- Apply the foam to the face with massage movements.
- After 5–7 minutes, the mask can be washed off.
The peeling effect is achieved due to the fact that calcium chloride, in the process of interaction with soap, forms a calcium salt of higher carboxylic acids, which rolls off, removing the stratum corneum of the epidermis.
Important! It is recommended to carry out the first procedure with a 5% solution and gradually switch to a 10% solution. A contraindication for the use of calcium chloride is the presence of inflammatory elements.
Boric alcohol
Boric acid, which is part of the composition, has disinfecting properties, tightens pores and has a beneficial effect on the regeneration process.
A cleansing lotion is prepared based on boric acid. Ingredients: St. John's wort decoction (200 ml), lavender oil (10 drops), boric alcohol (1 pack), camphor alcohol (100 ml), calendula alcohol tincture (100 ml). Mix the broth with oil and pour in the alcohol components, pour the mixture into a container with a screw-on lid, and store in the refrigerator for no longer than six months. You can wipe your face with this lotion in the morning and evening. The result of use is a reduction in acne and acne.
Gel Curiosin
The pharmaceutical purpose of the drug is the treatment of bedsores, trophic wounds and fistulas. But due to the presence of a large amount of hyaluronic acid, which dissolves dead cells, it deeply cleanses pores, moisturizes and evens out the skin . Curiosin can be used as an anti-aging agent. The gel should be applied 2 times a day, after removing makeup.
Blefarogel
The use of the drug as an anti-aging peeling is justified by the presence of hyaluronic acid and aloe juice in it. The gel is applied to the face locally (mainly on the skin of the eyelids) with patting movements. The product should be used for at least one and a half months. The first signs of skin improvement should be expected no earlier than after 3 weeks.
Important! Only Blepharogel No. 1 is used for cosmetic purposes. The use of the gel by girls under 25 years of age is not advisable.
Application of gels, ointments, creams and solutions
It should be remembered that before using anti-wrinkle products, you need to carefully read their composition, since many substances included in the composition of the pharmaceutical drug can affect the skin. For example, oily and dry types prone to wrinkles require completely different components. If the medicine is chosen incorrectly, the tendency towards dryness or oiliness may become stronger.
The best decision when choosing a pharmaceutical drug would be to consult a dermatologist . The following drugs from the pharmacy are very effective in eliminating wrinkles on the face:

The remaining ointment should be washed off with lukewarm water and a cream with hypoallergenic properties should be applied. This facial rejuvenation mask should be done once a month.

Fresh, velvety, smooth and tightened facial skin after 30 years is not just a gift of nature, but the result of regular proper care. Part of this care is facial cleansing.
Peeling is the removal of the upper keratinized layer of dead cells, which creates a barrier and prevents free access of oxygen and nutrients to the deep layers of the dermis.
The cosmetic products market offers various options for ready-made peelings for independent use at home. These drugs can be purchased at pharmacies.
Let's find out the names of the best pharmaceutical facial peels from well-known manufacturers, budget products, how much they cost, and how to use them.
Homemade peeling recipes from pharmaceutical products
You can prepare the peeling yourself. To do this, you need to purchase the components in advance at the pharmacy. Here are the most successful options:
Pharmacy glycolic
Cleansing the epidermis with glycolic acid molecules is a common manipulation in beauty salons. Its popularity is due to the fact that it is suitable for any skin type. The effectiveness of peeling is due to its antioxidant effect, activation of elastin production, smoothing and moisturizing effects.
The procedure using glycolic acid is carried out as follows.
- The drug is applied to clean, dry skin using a pipette and distributed over the skin, excluding the area around the mouth and eyes.
- After 2-3 minutes (later the time can be increased to 10 minutes), the acid must be neutralized using baking soda: soak a cotton swab in a soda solution (8 mg per 100 ml of water) and wipe your face with it, starting from those areas where the strongest burning and redness.
For the first session, it is better to use glycolic acid in a minimum concentration, gradually increasing the percentage of acid in the solution. The procedure should be repeated 2 times a week for 1–2 months.
Retinoic (yellow) peeling with Dimexide
Before you begin the peeling procedure, you need to prepare your skin. To do this, dissolve 1 teaspoon of Dimexide in ¼ glass of water and wipe your face with it.
After 45 minutes, neutralize the acid with a solution of baking soda (8 mg per 100 ml of water). Now you can proceed directly to exfoliation. Retinoic ointment must be mixed with vitamin E (1/1). Apply the composition to the skin and leave for 20 minutes. After this, neutralize and rinse with water after 5–8 hours.
The result of course use (3-4 sessions) will be soft and velvety skin.
Peeling with amber and fruit acid
In addition to its general healing and cleansing effect, succinic acid has the effect of a biostimulator, which triggers regenerative processes and tones the skin.
Preparation recipe: 2-3 tablets of succinic acid should be crushed to a powder, diluted with 2 tablespoons of boiled water or orange juice. Chopped citrus zest will help enhance the effect.
After the solution is ready, the skin needs to be degreased with tonic or lotion, steamed a little and applied the first layer of the mask. After 5 minutes you can apply the second layer. After 5–10 minutes, the product must be washed off.
Therapeutic products for rejuvenation
Today in pharmacies you can buy a large number of drugs that will help solve the problem. If you are going to use pharmaceutical preparations for facial skin rejuvenation, then first study the instructions for them. You will know about all the features of their action and will be able to avoid many unpleasant moments. Before using these drugs, you should consult a cosmetologist.
Pharmacy ointments
You can use medicinal pharmaceutical ointments for facial rejuvenation:
- Retinoic ointment, which is prescribed for the treatment of acne, is also successfully used in cosmetology due to its high vitamin A content. After using the ointment, the skin becomes smooth and elastic. The ointment is applied in a thin layer to problem areas in the morning and evening for 30 minutes for 3 weeks.
- Panthenol ointment has an anti-inflammatory effect, it is used to treat wounds, burns, dermatitis, abscesses, boils, bedsores and diaper rash. It is used in cosmetology because it promotes collagen production. Apply 2 times a week instead of moisturizing night cream.
- Instead of anti-aging face cream, you can use vitamin A. It helps smooth out deep wrinkles, refreshes and rejuvenates the skin. Apply to face morning and evening. After a week's course, take a break of 3 weeks.
- Taufon has also found application in cosmetology, as it contains an amino acid that has a positive effect on skin health. Use the drug morning and evening for a week, then take a break for 3 weeks.
- Zinc ointment is suitable for smoothing out wrinkles. To do this, apply a thin layer to the skin. But you need to take into account that it dries the skin, so after use you need to use a moisturizer.
- To rejuvenate the skin around the eyes, you can use the pharmaceutical product Relief. Thanks to the content of shark oil, this product regenerates and moisturizes the skin well.
- They also use other pharmaceutical preparations, such as Heparin ointment, Curiosin gel, and Aevit vitamin complex.
You can make masks from pharmaceutical preparations. For example, to rejuvenate the face, you can make a mask using Dimexide solution and Solcoseryl ointment.
Dilute 5 ml of dimexide in 50 ml of warm boiled water. The resulting solution is applied to the face using a cotton swab. After this, apply a thin layer of ointment and leave for 45-50 minutes. To prevent the mask from drying out, it is periodically moistened. After time, carefully wash off with warm water. Then apply any moisturizer. It is better to do the mask before going to bed.
Peelings based on drugs
You can also prepare peelings from pharmaceutical preparations. For example:
- Amber peeling. To prepare amber peeling, you need to take 3-4 tablets of succinic acid, crush them and mix with three tablespoons of boiled water. Apply the solution to your face and leave for 10-15 minutes. After which you need to wash your face and apply a nourishing cream. After such peeling, the face looks refreshed.
- Peeling from calcium chloride and baby soap. Apply foam from baby soap to your face and let it dry. Then take a solution of 10% calcium chloride. Use a cotton swab soaked in this solution to wipe the skin in a circular motion. Then rinse with warm water. Afterwards apply moisturizer. The procedure is best done before bedtime
- You can also purchase ready-made pharmaceutical facial peels. For example, chemical peeling, which is considered the most effective. A chemical peel acts like a burn. After the procedure, skin cells are renewed and a rejuvenating effect is observed.
There are several types of peeling. You can only carry out superficial peeling yourself, at home. The remaining two types (medium and deep) are carried out only in a beauty salon. And to perform deep peeling, anesthesia is even used.
Pharmacy facial peels should be used with great caution and only after consultation with a cosmetologist.
Nourishing masks at home
One of the simplest, most affordable and effective means to combat wrinkles on the face and neck is nourishing masks. Masks made from fruits and vegetables, as well as herbal decoctions, are used. The positive effect of such masks is explained by the fact that they contain biologically active substances, vitamins and acids.
Masks are made thick and liquid . Thick, in the form of a paste, apply to the face and neck, cotton swabs are soaked in liquid and applied to the skin. After use, there is a noticeable improvement in skin color and condition. Masks are prepared separately for dry and oily skin.
For dry skin, you can prepare a yeast mask. It tones and refreshes the skin well. 15-20 grams of yeast are diluted with milk to the consistency of sour cream and applied to cleansed facial skin for 10-15 minutes. Then rinse well with warm water. This mask can be applied 1-2 times a week.
The same mask can be prepared for oily skin, only the milk is replaced with 3% hydrogen peroxide. The mask refreshes the skin, makes it elastic, and slightly whitens.
Honey-lemon mask is beneficial for all skin types. This is a very effective product that brightens the skin, nourishes and moisturizes it.
For women with any skin type, masks made from vegetables and fruits are recommended. These masks are kept on the skin for 10-15 minutes. Then wash them off with warm water.
Green tea is an excellent remedy for rejuvenation. It contains antioxidants that slow down the aging process. You can not only drink tea, but also wipe your face with it instead of tonic.

Top 10 pharmacy chains in Russia
The ten largest classical pharmacy chains by number of outlets in Russia at the end of the first quarter of 2020 totaled more than 11 thousand pharmacies. In total, there are more than two thousand chains operating in the country, which account for 81.2% of the Russian retail drug market in 2020 in monetary terms, according to the analytical company RNC Pharma.
In the coming years, the largest players will develop through the purchase of small regional chains, since the era of organic growth is long over, top managers of pharmacy chains said at industry events. In the coming years, the number of networks will be significantly reduced.
Consolidation
One of the trends in pharmacy retail is the process of market consolidation, which has not stopped for several years. Moreover, over the past two years he has become very active. Last year, about 50 transactions were completed in Russia. “The interesting thing here is not even how many transactions are taking place, but the fact that quite large and quite successful companies were put up for sale, and this was surprising. For example, the Samson-Pharma or Kazan Pharmacies chains,” says Nikolai Bespalov, development director of the analytical company RNC Pharma, emphasizing that previously the largest transactions took place in relation to companies in difficult financial situations. For example, Raduga changed ownership due to the poor financial condition of its parent Rosta.
Currently, many assets are being sold rather because their owners do not see prospects for market development: high competition, declining business profitability, falling purchasing power. Currently, there is low demand for medicines and related products.
Federal chains, which have bought up many regional players over the past few years, say that it is no longer possible to develop organically and this year they will continue to buy small chains or single pharmacies for the sake of location.
Alliances
If we take the top five, there are four Moscow networks and one Perm network. The top 10 did not take into account regional pharmacy chains united in alliances and unions, as well as online pharmacies. But if we analyze alliances, the largest is the Moscow Association of Independent Pharmacies (ASNA), which unites more than 8 thousand retail outlets in Russia right up to Kamchatka. By the end of this year, the association intends to grow to 14 thousand pharmacies.
In second place in terms of the number of united local players is the Samara chain Implozia (more than 3.4 thousand points), in which more than 60% of pharmacies are either partner (connected to the Implosion software for procurement) or franchised.
The third place is occupied by the Novosibirsk chain Melodiya Zdorovya (1.8 thousand), which also has more than 50% of its outlets as partners.
The peak of associations of local players into unions or alliances occurred in 2020. This allows networks to have lower purchasing prices and consolidate orders from manufacturers for marketing services (manufacturers pay networks to promote their products).
Despite the fact that work on a high-profile bill allowing the sale of over-the-counter drugs in grocery retail has been stopped (and this was a big threat to the pharmaceutical market, representatives of the chains said that if this law was adopted, they would be forced to close up to half of their outlets due to the close proximity with grocery stores), the situation in pharmacy retail is extremely difficult. “Most likely, in the coming years, small players will find themselves in extremely unfavorable conditions; local companies will find it difficult to compete for marketing budgets with market leaders. There will be a series of bankruptcies of small and medium-sized companies in the industry, and there will be an oversupply on the M&A market. So now you can get out of business on not bad terms,” says Nikolai Bespalov.

Just like the largest federal chains, Krasnodar pharmacy retail is also developing through the purchase of local chains. Thus, in the spring of this year, April announced the purchase of the largest Tatar chain of Kazan pharmacies (112 points). In 2020, April looked closely at the Izhevsk chain Pharmakon & Klyukva (117 points), but in the middle of the year it was taken over by Pharmaimpex, the magazine previously reported.

10. Vita
Samara Pharm operates almost a thousand pharmacies. The company is developing two brands: Vita Express and My Low Price Pharmacy. The consolidated share in the drug market reached 1.4%.
Solving various problems
Now let’s look at the features of using exfoliants to solve various aesthetic problems of different types of dermis:
Dry skin
Moisturizing glycerin peeling will help here. Glycerin is famous for its moisturizing properties, and its ability to attract water molecules has made it a popular cosmetic ingredient.
Based on a pharmaceutical solution of glycerin, you can prepare a moisturizing exfoliant mask. To do this, take the solution and mix it with boric acid and ammonia (2 teaspoons each), add grated baby soap in the same amount. Apply the mask to the skin until dry, then rinse with water.
Mattifying exfoliant mask. A black scrub will help clear your skin of blackheads and get rid of toxins. You can prepare it from crushed activated carbon tablets (10 pieces), diluted with water until it becomes sour cream. Keep the mask on for no more than 10 minutes, then rinse with water.
Problem skin
Skin prone to increased sebum production requires special cleansing measures.
An aspirin mask eliminates shine in the T-zone, removes excess fat from the surface of the skin, helps tighten pores and cleanse sebaceous ducts.
Recipe: Grind an aspirin tablet and mix it with liquid honey until creamy. Apply the mask for 10 minutes, then rinse with warm water.
Sensitive skin prone to allergic reactions
Most exfoliating products are not suitable for people with sensitive skin prone to allergic reactions. The solution in this case is peeling with lactic acid.
This is the mildest option of exfoliation, which gives the skin elasticity, tones and moisturizes.
To carry out peeling, you can use lactic acid in bottles or purchase Hilak Forte drops, which consist of 90% of this active substance.
Attention! For the first procedure, it is better to dilute lactic acid with water to obtain a 5% solution (1/32).
Soak a cotton pad in the mixture and apply to your face, starting from the forehead. When using for the first time, do not keep the product on for more than 2 minutes. With repeated manipulations, you can gradually increase the exposure time. It is better to rinse off the solution with cool water.
Cosmetics manufacturers can offer ready-made pharmaceutical products with exfoliant action. Most of them are based on acids in varying concentrations. These drugs will help lighten the skin, smooth out wrinkles, cope with skin rashes, smooth out small scars and scars, and improve cell regeneration.
- With AHA 8%, manufacturer - Premium (Russia). Price - about 700 rubles. Contains fruit acids (malic, citric) in small concentrations. The gel is intended to eliminate skin flaking and seborrhea and effectively fights hyperpigmentation.
- ALPHA COMPLEX Rapid Exfoliator from Holy Land (Israel). Price - about 3000 rubles. In addition to various acids (salicylic, ascorbic, lactic), the drug contains plant extracts. A special feature of the product is its lifting effect.
- GLYCOLIC (for eyelids) from SKIN LABORATORY (USA). Price - about 800 rubles. An additional bonus of using the product is strengthening blood vessels and increasing skin elasticity.
- GLYCO LIPOSOM from Biomatrix (France). Price - about 800 rubles. The plant biocomplex with liposomes, which is included in the composition, actively reduces the depth of wrinkles, not only facial wrinkles, but also senile ones, and also slows down the aging process.
Pharmacy peelings
The pharmaceutical industry produces many drugs that are used for high-quality cleansing of the epidermis. Several types of acid peels are used more often than others.
Badyaga
- A natural product with a complex effect: removes sebaceous grease and dirt from clogged pores, normalizes metabolic processes, dries the epidermis.
- Peeling with badyaga reduces pigmentation and the number of acne.
- The simplest recipe: combine natural powder with warm water to form a thick paste.
- Apply the mixture to the face, do not treat the area under the eyes. Don't rub! After a quarter of an hour, wash with lukewarm water.
- Adding honey (for 1 tablespoon of badyagi powder - 1 teaspoon of bee product) turns an ordinary mask into an anti-aging one with antioxidant properties.
Calcium chloride
- create foam from baby soap;
- pour the contents of the ampoule (calcium chloride, 5%) into a glass or porcelain container;
- dip your fingers into soap suds, then into a bowl of medicine;
- treat the face with gentle movements, certainly along the massage lines;
- After five minutes, wash with cool water or chamomile decoction.
Boric alcohol
If you have blackheads, this acid peeling for the face will help, the main component of which can be bought at the pharmacy. It is prepared like this:
- In a non-metallic bowl, combine a couple of tablespoons of chopped oatmeal, 1/2 tsp. soda, 4 drops of boric alcohol, a little kefir (fat content - 2.5%);
- lubricate the area under the eyes with nourishing cream;
- Apply the multicomponent mixture to the face (do not rub);
- wait 20 minutes, remove the composition, wash with cold water.
Gel Curiosin
There are mixed opinions about this drug. Dermatologists do not recommend making a mask with Curiosin, but cosmetologists often recommend the procedure due to the content of zinc hyaluronate.
Acid mask with Curiosin for wrinkles:
- rub in a small amount of the drug;
- after two minutes, apply a light cream from the “Intensive Moisturizing” series;
- After half an hour, wipe your face and wash with lukewarm water.
Blefarogel
One of the most effective pharmaceutical facial peels smooths out fine wrinkles around the eyes, relieves puffiness, and reduces discomfort and redness in the eyelid area.
Blepharogel contains aloe vera, a rejuvenating component - hyaluronic acid, glycerin and is more suitable for regeneration and moisturizing than for acid peeling.
A small amount is applied in the area around the eyes, frequency of use is 2 or 3 times a week.
Contraindications
There are many contraindications to peelings:
- pregnancy, lactation;
- the appearance of herpes and other infections;

Procedure protocol
General recommendations for cleaning at home and safety measures:
- The first exfoliation procedure should be carried out with a preliminary allergy test: apply a small amount of the selected product to the elbow area, observe the skin reaction during the day. If uncharacteristic rashes appear at the application site, it is better to avoid using the product. Please note that slight redness and burning without causing severe discomfort are normal.
- Do not use decorative cosmetics after the procedure.
- Contraindications for cleaning are any damage to the integrity of the epithelium, herpes and other inflammations on the skin, high fever, pregnancy and breastfeeding, colds, infectious and viral diseases, and allergic rashes.
- To reduce discomfort during peeling, you can resort to cooling your face with a hairdryer (cold stream).
- Before applying any product, the skin must be cleansed and degreased (tonic or lotion, preferably containing alcohol).
- After cleansing, sun rays are contraindicated for the skin, so cleansing manipulations should be carried out during the period of least solar activity: autumn, winter.
Opinion of cosmetologists
Experts do not recommend deep facial cleansing with chemicals at home. However, gentle superficial cleansing can be done independently and, according to cosmetologists, will cope with many skin problems. Here are some reviews from beauty experts on the most popular types of at-home peels.
Removing pimples on inflamed skin
Salicylic acid is good for eliminating acne and diseases caused by infections. It acts as an antiseptic and eliminates inflammation, and also exfoliates dead cells in problem areas, and this, in turn, renews the skin. Salicylic acid should be used only in problem areas, using a cotton swab dipped in this acid.
Boric alcohol is effective in treating pimples. To get rid of acne, you need to wipe all problem areas of the face with a piece of cotton wool soaked in this alcohol. In the first few days, there is usually no improvement, but after seven days, with regular use of boric alcohol, inflammation will begin to disappear.
Step-by-step instructions for peeling at home
Gentle facial peels with acids can be done at home. Before performing the procedure, the diet should contain foods containing vitamin A: dried apricots, carrots, parsley.

- blackberry;

Which acid peel is suitable for sensitive skin?
Sensitive skin is prone to irritability with unclear reactions to them: exogenous (physical and chemical), endogenous (hormonal, genetic and other diseases). Sensitive skin most often has a thin stratum corneum, insufficient sebum secretion from the glands, and little pigment.
Properties of sensitive skin
It manifests itself in redness, peeling, rashes, dryness and tightness.
Facial peels with acids in this case should be gentle in order to eliminate side effects from use. Acids are used with a minimum percentage and time of exposure of the solution to the skin. The optimal acids are: pyruvic (a derivative of grape and tartaric acids), malic, glycolic or lactic.
They are great for thin, sensitive skin because:
- enhance metabolic processes;
- protect against early aging;
- protect against moisture loss;
- strengthen barrier functions,
- increase density and elasticity by stimulating collagen formation.
