How things didn’t work out for me with Japanese double cleansing and Asian bibb creams

Japanese cosmetics: facial scrubs

Whatever your skin type, it is better to choose the gentlest care

From the entire range of ready-made scrubs, pay attention to those that are suitable for sensitive skin

Cleanse with gentle circular movements. Don't rub your skin as if you were scrubbing a frying pan.

In most cases, the scrub is used after pre-moisturizing the skin. Do this after cleansing your face

Remember to rinse your face with plenty of water afterwards, this is important for optimal results.

After completing this procedure, you can make a mask.

For facial care, Japanese women often use their grandmother's recipes and do not hesitate to use ingredients they find in their kitchens. And it is right. Where else can you find high-quality, fresh, natural products that provide optimal results?

Oriental wash: cleansing the skin in two stages

Japanese washing is performed with strong foam

We know oriental facial treatments: Japanese facial masks, Japanese facial massage.

Let's talk about Japanese washing, the peculiarity of which is that it occurs in two stages: removing makeup and washing, i.e. removing makeup remover and sebum from the skin and pores.

Skin cleansing with oil

The first stage of this type of washing: removing makeup using hydrophilic oil.

This oil, when combined with water, becomes an emulsion or milk, and is easily and quickly washed off, without leaving a greasy feeling on the skin.

Hydrophilic oil can also work with waterproof cosmetics (since it has an oil composition). However, with this type of washing, it is recommended to first remove makeup from the eye area using a sponge or cotton pad, as well as using a special eye makeup remover.

In the photo: features of the action of hydrophilic oil on facial skin

Facial make-up removal using hydrophilic oil is performed in the following way: 1. A few drops of oil are applied with gentle and smooth hand movements to dry facial skin, always along the massage lines. 2. When applying oil, it is recommended to carefully treat sensitive skin on the lips and around the eyes. 3. Emulsify the oil with water. To do this, lightly massage your facial skin with your hands soaked in warm water. 4. Oil, when interacting with water, will turn into a whitish emulsion. It is at this stage that makeup removal occurs. During the cleansing process, you do not need to wet your face with water; just wet your hands several times in water and continue massaging your face. 5. After completely cleansing the face, the emulsion should be washed off with warm water, along with any remaining dirt, makeup and sebum.

The face will be completely cleansed at the second stage of Japanese washing.

Cleansing the skin with foam

The secret of Japanese face wash is the consistency of the foam. It should be like a fluffy but springy ball

Japanese washing after makeup removal involves cleansing and preparing the skin for the application of cosmetic care products.

The process itself is carried out using thick and dense foam, which is obtained from cleansing milk, gel or soap.

The secret of Japanese face wash is the consistency of the foam. It should be like a fluffy but springy ball, which, when exposed to fingers and skin, will allow you to cleanse, massage and tighten enlarged pores of the face, without touching it with your hands.

Even if the word foam is on the bottle of cleanser, this will not be enough. To create real thick foam, Eastern women use nylon mesh, which helps whip the product into foam very quickly.

Often, for greater efficiency, pieces of foam rubber are placed inside such a mesh.

In the photo: the process of cleansing facial skin with foam

After cleansing the skin with foam, its remnants are thoroughly washed off with warm water, and the face should be blotted with a towel.

It is best to use a paper towel, because... The pile of fabric towels is coarse and can damage the sensitive and thin epidermis.

After finishing washing, it is recommended to apply skin care products (cream, cosmetic mask) to the skin in the first 30-40 seconds so that further skin care can be carried out.

It is after cleansing that skin tissue is most sensitive to the beneficial properties of facial care cosmetics.

Read the article about which soap is best for oily skin.

The Japanese system of washing differs from conventional facial care procedures precisely in the products that are used both for removing makeup and for washing the face.

Skin care products needed for Japanese face wash

For the first stage of Japanese cleansing (makeup removal), it is recommended to use it as an odorless base oil, or oils with various additives that help fill it with aroma and add valuable properties . The following additives are used in hydrophilic oil: extracts of plant origin (rosehip, green tea, green apple, lemon), fermented vegetable oils, and alphahydroxy acids (for example, hyaluronic acid).

Japanese washing is carried out using a special “awadama” mesh.

To carry out the second stage of Japanese washing (skin cleansing), cosmetic washing products are used in the form of gel, paste or soap . These products can be of various types and differ in properties.

Therefore, you can choose a cleanser depending on the characteristics and type of facial skin. For example, a deep cleanser is suitable for oily facial skin, and a deeply moisturizing one is suitable for aging and dry skin.

To create foam, you can use sponges, brushes, nylon nets, silk cocoons, brushes and washcloths . Ideally, Japanese washing is carried out using a special “awadama” mesh, which can be purchased in specialized departments of pharmacies and stores.

It is recommended to wash your face using the Japanese system no more than 2-3 times a week; more frequent cleansing of the epidermis can make the skin too sensitive and susceptible to external negative factors.

Economical option

Hydrophilic oil recipe
You can prepare hydrophilic oil yourself at home. To prepare the mix you will need:

Polysorbate 80 is the main component that turns the oily substance into an emulsion. For a hydrophilic mixture you need 10%

Sold in soap makers' stores and in salons selling hobby and creative goods. Base oils - the rest of the composition - 90% It is important to note that for base oils, not esters are taken, but low-comedogenic, light oils. Coconut is not suitable in this case. It is better to choose jojoba, grape seed extract, almonds for dry epidermis

St. John's wort, rosehip, arnica or jojoba are acceptable options for oily types. Avocado, walnut, shea will support dryness. Mixed skin needs almond, watermelon, and tamanu extracts. For mature ones, the best choices are wheat germ, cocoa and primrose. Sold in pharmacies. Lovers of scented products are advised to add a few drops of perfumed oil or cosmetic fragrance.

It is convenient to place the cosmetic mixture in a bottle with a dispenser. Cooked at home, it will become a favorite. Budget, naturalness, individual aroma enhance the positive characteristics of a simple but effective cleanser.

Stages of cleansing

Japanese washing - stages

Classic Japanese washing includes 2 stages. They do not cause difficulties if used systematically at home and do not require a large number of expensive drugs. The main purpose of the Asian washing procedure is to prepare for nutrition, breathing, and moisturizing of the skin.

First phase - oil

The first stage of Japanese washing is applying hydrophilic oil

The Japanese washing system at its initial stage involves removing makeup from the face (makeup remover). For this purpose, hydrophilic oils are most often used. They perfectly dissolve various contaminants and cosmetics.

Using oil to cleanse your face requires following several rules. It must be applied to dry hands and a dry face. A couple of pump presses of the bottles will be enough to wash your face.

Distributing the oil on your palms, apply to your face with massage movements in a circle. First of all, cleanse the eyes with oil (the product does not contain ingredients that cause negative reactions), then the cheeks, forehead, chin, repeating the movements several times. By adding a little water to your hands, you also massage your face.

High-quality oil at this stage should acquire a white tint and turn into an emulsion, and not remain transparent. At the end of the procedure, it is important to wash your face thoroughly, rinsing your face with water.

At the first stage, after performing the above operations, cosmetics are completely removed from the face.

Second phase - foam

The second stage of Japanese washing - foam

The Japanese washing system in the second stage provides for the final removal of dirt, fat, dead skin particles and oil residues. For this, classic foaming agents are used. You can use any product that suits your skin type, not necessarily Japanese products. Mass market organic cosmetics are quite suitable, including natural soap. Japanese washing kits contain an additional tool for better cleansing quality - a two-layer awadama mesh, which is usually used to achieve thick foam. As an avadama, you can use a domestic product - a mesh washcloth, sponge, sponge or shaving brush. The main thing is to choose a projectile that is more elastic so that the consistency is airy and voluminous. Foam substrate is needed for deep cleansing of pores.

It happens like this:

  • After wetting the mesh, a small amount of the foaming agent is removed and a dense foam is whipped using an avadama.
  • Then apply foam to the face and wash without using a net, washcloth or similar devices, almost without touching the skin.
  • Finally, cleanse the face of foam with plenty of water.

This completes the classic Japanese washing system. In the Asian system, there are other approaches to washing and the use of other means. An alternative to hydrophilic oil is a makeup remover cream. They are recommended for use by owners of dry dermis during the cold season. The procedure, consisting of 2 stages, should be done in the morning and evening if you want to get a high-quality effect.

Secrets of youth

Why don't Japanese women have wrinkles? Many scientists have long noticed that most Japanese women look quite young. Many clinical studies have been conducted on this matter. It turned out that, after all, the inhabitants of the Land of the Rising Sun have a number of features in their lifestyle, facial skin care and nutrition, which any European girl can adopt if she wishes.

Let's list the main reasons why Japanese women don't have wrinkles:

  • Balanced diet. Fish, seafood, vegetables, and cereals dominate the diet of Japanese women and men. At the same time, animal fats are practically absent. The inhabitants of the four Pacific islands have been following a similar diet for more than a thousand years, which undoubtedly affected their genetics.
  • Effective sun protection. All Japanese women strive to maintain white skin color, which is considered one of the main signs of beauty. The cosmetics used must necessarily contain ultraviolet filters.
  • Traditional facial care. It is a real ritual, including a unique approach to washing and simultaneously using a variety of cosmetics that are applied to the face in multiple layers.
  • Natural cosmetic. Particular attention is paid to the quality of cosmetics that are used to care for the skin of the face and body. They prefer cosmetics that contain herbal and natural ingredients.
  • Skin Features. Clinical studies have shown that Japanese women have oilier, more porous and thicker skin. This creates certain prerequisites for slowing down the formation of wrinkles.

Before using Japanese facial skin care, consult a qualified cosmetologist.

Japanese washing system

Even such simple manipulations as removing makeup and directly washing the face have significant differences compared to European standards. For example, to remove cosmetics, they use hydrophilic oil. At the same time, pores are cleaned using thick foam. The two-step Japanese facial treatment method must be done daily.

Features of removing cosmetics using hydrophilic oil:

  • For this procedure, you can use oil from any manufacturer (domestic, European, American, Asian, etc.). The main thing is that it is natural and without harmful preservatives.
  • When hydrophilic oil is mixed with water, an emulsion solution is formed, which is washed off quite easily, without leaving a greasy layer.
  • Pour a small amount of oil into your palms, rub and lubricate your face with it. Makeup will dissolve and disappear. Then we wet our hands with warm water and wash the skin using circular movements.
  • You don't need a lot of water to wash off the oil. It is enough to wet your palms a little.
  • The use of hydrophilic oil is also suitable for removing waterproof cosmetics.

After removing makeup, treat the skin with foam. To remove hydrophilic oil and cosmetics, you will need a thick, dense foam. For this purpose, a cosmetic product is used that is capable of forming foam. It is applied to the face so that the fingers do not touch the skin. Then, using light movements, we begin to press the thick foam into the deep layers of the dermis. We continue this procedure for several minutes. When the foam has lost its elasticity, wash it off with water. Japanese women perform similar washings every morning and evening.

Japanese care methods

Multi-layer application of cosmetic products is the basis of the Japanese method of facial care. Step-by-step instructions on how to properly apply cosmetics:

  • First layer. We start with hydrophilic oil and thick foam. You should remove your makeup and clean out your pores. The entire process of performing this procedure has been described in detail previously.
  • Second layer. We apply serum. Rub the selected cosmetic product in your palms and lubricate your clean face. Rapid absorption of the serum into the epidermis is observed. There are no marks left on the face.
  • Third layer. Apply natural cream to the skin around the eyes. We lubricate both eyelids with circular movements: upper and lower.
  • Fourth layer. We switch to using anti-wrinkle cream (for both preventive and therapeutic purposes). Apply the cosmetic product to the area of the corners of the eyes, nasolabial triangle and forehead.
  • Fifth layer. We use a serum that helps moisturize the outer layer of skin. To apply it to the face, use tapping movements. Try to treat your entire face evenly.
  • Sixth layer. It's time to apply a natural cream that will soften the skin. The cosmetic product is applied with fingertips using massage pressing movements. This cream also needs to be applied to the neck area.
  • Seventh layer. Let's do the lips. To protect your lips from drying out and the appearance of small painful cracks, they must be lubricated with balm. It is worth noting that chapstick is not suitable for solving this problem. It only creates mechanical protection, forming a film on the lips. At the same time, there is no therapeutic effect.
  • Eighth layer. We complete the skin treatment with a base cream. To fix all cosmetic products that were previously applied, we use a base cream.

The Japanese facial skin care system requires a lot of diligence and time.

Home-proven facial skin care methods

The facial skin of men and women is different. To the envy of the fair sex, the male epidermis has a greater amount of collagen. This substance is a structure that maintains elasticity. As soon as collagen is destroyed with age and a lack of vitamin C, kinks, grooves appear, then small wrinkles, then large, nasolabial folds, “anger” wrinkles, “crow’s feet”. For this reason, men do not need all kinds of masks as much, they strengthen and give daily shaving massage, and androgen is an excellent stimulant for strengthening collagen.

In order not to lose skin elasticity and look younger longer, we women have to spend a lot of money on our faces and devote maximum time to procedures. It is worth noting that if you follow the recommendations of doctors and lead an active and healthy lifestyle, then there will be no special problems.

Every day, the scales of our skin secrete sebaceous glands, and some of them die. It is necessary to get rid of them in order to open access of oxygen to other tissues.

How to wash your face

You cannot use toilet soap, much less laundry soap. The components have a harsh, irritating property, can cause burns, dryness, tighten the skin and create conditions for even more acne and redness.

For cleansing, you need to use micellar water, special milk, cosmetic cream, and gel. Moreover, each product must correspond to the type of skin, which can be dry, oily and medium oily. Cleaning the face should be done with a cotton pad or swab.

As for water, the one that flows from the tap is a real irritant. It does not have the required pH level, so it is better to use filtered one. You need to add a few drops of lemon juice to it. Thus, balance is restored and a softening effect occurs.

Some people use unrefined oil to cleanse their face of makeup residue. Sunflower, olive, flaxseed and castor are suitable. The oil is applied with a cotton pad, after 2 minutes you need to remove makeup with a cotton swab and rinse with warm softened water.

How to peel

This procedure allows you to cleanse yourself of dead cells, that is, it removes the crust of the epidermis. The word is translated from English as “peel the crust.” But it should be remembered that peelings and scrubs, if poorly prepared and applied, can lead to microtraumas of the skin and cause redness, the formation of acne, and allergic reactions.

Oatmeal peeling

You need to grind the oatmeal in a blender or coffee grinder. Mix a tablespoon of powder with the same amount of homemade sour cream or yogurt without additives and warm water. Apply to a face previously cleaned of makeup and rub with light, gentle movements onto the cheeks, forehead, chin area, nose, etc. Go around the eyes.

Coffee pulp peeling

Don’t rush to throw away the remaining coffee grounds; they will be useful not only for exfoliating your face, but also for getting rid of fungal diseases, bad odor on your feet, bad breath, etc. It should be applied to the face warm, and the skin should be pre-cleaned. Briefly and gently wipe all areas of the face, except for the area around the eyes, and when the thickener dries a little, carefully remove with a cotton pad. Wash the remains with warm softened water.

Japanese washing system

European beauties have already learned how to create porcelain skin, like Asian women, with the help of BB creams, which first appeared in the East. They are satisfied with the result, but many complain that these creams are difficult to wash off the face, that it is not easy to achieve a feeling of clean skin after washing, and some even experience irritation and rashes on their face due to insufficient cleansing. Perhaps Asian women should have adopted, along with the magic concealer, a special washing system in which the skin and pores are cleansed gently, but as thoroughly as possible: as a result, even clean, “naked” skin looks porcelain. Japanese washing (as it is commonly called) is worth trying, even if you don’t use BB creams: any makeup, standard city dust and the work of the sebaceous glands leave marks on your face that are not easy to get rid of.

Japanese washing: cleansing the skin in two stages

The main feature of Japanese washing is that it consists of two stages: removing makeup and washing itself - cleansing the skin and pores of makeup remover and sebum. Strictly speaking, nothing revolutionary. A cosmetologist doesn’t have to live in Asia to advise you not to apply cleanser or splash warm water directly on your painted face, on which, by the evening of a hard day, foundation and powder, sweat and dust, sebum and all sorts of harmful substances have already combined into an explosive mixture. compounds that the city air is so rich in.

Two stages of Japanese washing: removing makeup and actually washing 14823

Two-step cleansing is recommended, for example, by makeup artist Lisa Eldridge. And cosmetologist Tiina Orasmäe-Meder, writing on her blog about daily skin care, recommended this: “If you use professional makeup products (MAC, for example), then it makes sense to remove makeup with special wipes, which are offered by the same company. After removing makeup, wash with a product based on your skin type.”

Many people, without any stellar advice, first remove their makeup using a special milk, remover or micellar water, and then wash their face using a cleanser that suits their skin needs.

The Japanese washing system differs from the generally accepted standard in the products used for makeup removal and for washing.

Hydrophilic oil for washing according to the Japanese system

So, the first stage of Japanese washing is to remove makeup using hydrophilic oil. Adherents of the system try to order authentic Japanese products, but if desired, you can also find hydrophilic oils from European manufacturers. Look for bottles labeled cleansing oil .

What is hydrophilic oil and how does it differ from the usual one that lovers of natural cosmetics use in facial skin care? This is an oil that, upon contact with water, turns into an emulsion, milk and is easily washed off without leaving a greasy film on the skin. It's quite simple to use. A portion of the oil should be applied to the face and massaged into the skin in a circular motion - the cosmetics will begin to disappear at this stage. Wet your hands with warm water and continue the light cleansing “massage”. Don't splash water on your face. Just wet your hands several times and continue massaging your face (lightly and gently!) - the oil and cosmetics will leave the skin just like that. You will remove the remains at the second stage of Japanese washing.

Hydrophilic oil copes even with waterproof cosmetics (precisely because it is an oil). But during Japanese washing, it is not forbidden to remove eye makeup with cotton pads and a special eye product, especially if you have sensitive eyes.

Japanese wash: cleanse the skin with foam

The word foam on a bottle of cleanser is not enough. Japanese women turn a drop of cleanser into a handful of the most delicate foam, dense, like the one that crawls out of a bottle of shaving foam. To do this, they use special nylon mesh: a few seconds - and the job is done. Sometimes, for greater efficiency, small pieces of foam rubber are placed inside this mesh. Is it possible to do without such a device and still experience the miraculous Japanese wash? Certainly! Firstly, the nylon mesh washcloths sold in all our stores can easily handle the foaming task. Secondly, you can use a shaving brush, which is used for shaving.

Japanese washing is foam washing 18170

The next question is what to lather during Japanese washing? There are special products called foams. There is a soap for washing that foams well (using the same mesh or its substitutes). But it’s worth experimenting with products that you already have and have long proven to be ideal for your skin: pair them with a mesh and what if you get foam?

For Japanese washing you will need a whole handful of foam 14564

Why does the Japanese washing system require foam? It is believed to penetrate into the pores and cleanse them, not just the surface of the skin. The foam should be applied carefully to the entire face and do not rub the skin itself and do not touch your face with your hands at all, but only lightly press on the top layer of foam: the springy foam will begin to penetrate where it will deal with impurities. If you are not afraid of drying out your skin, you can hold the foam on your face for a couple of minutes, then rinse with warm water.

Next, use your usual products: lotion, night cream, or special medications if you are struggling with any special problems.

Japanese home washing system

In the photo: massage lines along which you need to apply an oil composition (hydrophilic oil)

To carry out Japanese washing, you will need: hydrophilic oil (you can use regular base oil), a mesh for whipping foam, soap.

Before the procedure, you must remove your makeup.

Stage 1. Apply oil to a dry and clean face. ½ tsp. base oil (olive, grape seed, mustard, linseed), add 1-2 drops of essential oil to it at your discretion.

The oil composition should be applied with light massage movements and left for 2-3 minutes. The oil will help soften the skin and dissolve impurities

Stage 2. We take soap (it is better to use soap, milk or foam for washing), and thoroughly foam it with a mesh washcloth (you can use a special washcloth for this procedure - avadama).

We foam the soap until a very thick foam forms (the smaller the foam bubbles, the deeper the facial cleansing will be).

Stage 3. The foam is carefully applied to the entire face, but you should not rub the skin, or even touch it with your hands. You just need to lightly press on the top layer of foam, so it will penetrate deeper into the pores and remove all existing impurities. If your skin is too oily. then the foam can be kept on the face for 5-7 minutes, and then washed off with warm water

Stages of facial cleansing: 1 - soap is moistened with water; 2 - soaping, 3 - creating strong foam, 4 - cleansing the face with foam

It is better to perform Japanese washing in the evening. After the procedure, you can see that the skin is perfectly cleansed, almost “squeaky clean.” At the same time, cosmetic masks and creams penetrate into it much faster after this cleansing.

You should be well aware of the importance of proper facial care and skin hydration. Read the article about the importance of water for facial skin.

This washing system will not only help complete and correct skin care, it will also help cope with increased oily skin. For dry skin, such care will also be useful, because... it is absolutely universal.

Japanese washing: what are its features?

Do you remember how Chukovsky wrote: “Early in the morning at dawn, little mice and kittens wash themselves...”. But today is not about fairy tales, but about a process that you can’t do without in more than one morning. In this article on the website Shtuchka.ru we will look at a special system for facial skin care: Japanese washing.

Japanese cleansing and washing: what is special

This procedure, using Japanese technology, can be classified as deep cleansing of the epidermis, which you can do yourself at home. Thanks to this cleansing, blood circulation improves, and the skin, accordingly, receiving full nutrients, acquires a healthy color and appearance.

The most changes can be seen in girls with problematic and oily skin:

  • Hydrophilic oil and Japanese cleansing foam help narrow pores, pimple spots disappear and, most importantly, blackheads disappear. But this is nothing more than clogged pores. In a normal situation, a large number of manipulations would have to be performed in order to soften, remove dirt and seal the pore well. But the beauty of this system is that it allows you to do this in just two stages, without harming the skin of the face, without tightening it, without leaving a feeling of dryness and without changing the pH level, which is important for any skin type.
  • Red pimples that cover the face are very painful. They cause a lot of inconvenience and discomfort, both moral and physical. In such a situation, it is very painful to even touch your face with your hands. And since such washing practically eliminates contact, it becomes possible to carry out this necessary cleaning procedure less painlessly.

Japanese washing system

And now 6tu4ka.ru. will tell you about the technology of the procedure, without missing out on useful recommendations. This system involves removing makeup and cleansing the face in several stages: removing makeup and cleansing the face, followed by preparing the skin for further “nourishing” procedures.

  • Despite the fact that this oil is suitable for all skin types, it is better to start with samples. This way you can choose the right oil.

So, where should you start the procedure? Apply a small amount of oil to dry face and distribute it evenly with your hands.

  • This point is also worth considering here. Not all hydrophilic oils cope with waterproof cosmetics. Therefore, some people first remove makeup (for example, Japanese cleansing powder), and then proceed to the oil. Again, we return to samples. With their help, you can choose for yourself not only the oil that suits your skin type, but also the one that will cope with your cosmetics.

Japanese washing requires choosing the right oil

After applying and distributing the oil along the massage lines, you should do the same procedure, but with your hands soaked in warm water. When interacting with water, the oil turns into an emulsion, which, therefore, needs to continue to be massaged onto the face. It is at this point that the oil begins to penetrate the pores and cleanse them.

  • Do not splash water on your face. Thus, the oil will be washed off very quickly, and you will not achieve the desired effect. You need to gradually wash the oil with wet hands until it completely turns into an emulsion.

The whole procedure takes no more than ten minutes. Then you need to wash off the remaining oil from your face with warm water. Now you can proceed to the next stage. It involves cleansing the facial skin and preparing it for subsequent procedures. To do this, you can use the product you usually wash your face with. It can be gel, soap, paste, milk or Japanese gel for washing.

Japanese washing net: how to use?

For girls with very sensitive skin, and for others - in the winter season, it is recommended to use a creamy “wash” instead of the usual products to prevent drying out the skin.

You will need a Japanese washing net, which, by the way, you don’t have to buy: you can make it yourself.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yY-rg0CyQYU

Apply cleanser to the mesh and lather it. Once a thick foam forms, remove it and apply to your face. Now you need to wash your face with this foam using massaging movements, trying not to touch your face with your hands. The whole peculiarity lies in the thickness of this foam: so as not to touch your face with your hands. You can also use a sponge, sponge, brush or nylon mesh to create foam. Afterwards, wash off the foam from your face with warm water and dry it. After such deep cleansing, you should apply a nourishing cream to your face. Which also indicates the advantage of this kind of deep cleaning: the cream will be absorbed much better and will provide maximum benefit. In addition to the cream, after such a procedure you can also do masks and other procedures aimed at enriching the face with nutrients.

Despite all the benefits of this procedure, regardless of skin type, it should be performed no more than once a day. And for dry and sensitive skin no more than three times a week. Otherwise, you will simply remove the lipid barrier. And this is fraught with dehydration of the skin, followed by dryness, peeling and irritation.

Among other things, I would like to note that Japanese cosmetics for washing your face not only allows you to take good care of your face, but also saves time and money, which is also important these days.

And may your shining reflection delight you every morning.

How to properly apply cream to your face

  1. In my work, I am used to applying cream to the back of my hand, and from there to the client’s face. I do the same when I take care of my skin at home. And I recommend that you do the same - it’s very convenient, and now you’ll understand why.
  2. If the cream is in a tube or bottle with a pump, squeeze a small amount of cream about the size of a pea onto your hand. If the cream is in a jar, remove the required amount with a clean spatula.
  3. Before applying, lightly rub the cream with your fingertips to bring it to body temperature. This will increase its activity.
  4. Then apply the cream in small portions to the face and neck and distribute along the massage lines. In the eye area, the cream is applied only along the bony edge. Feel the bony edge and apply the cream along the orbit of the eye. There is no need to apply the cream along the eyelashes and on the moving eyelid. Don't worry, the cream will distribute itself over the skin of the eyelids, since our eyes are constantly moving. Moreover, it will be distributed evenly and without excess, which is difficult to achieve in such a delicate area with your fingers.
  5. There is no need to skimp or, on the contrary, apply too much cream. The amount of cream should be optimal - it should moisturize the skin well, but not be an extra burden, preventing it from breathing. Therefore, if after 20-30 minutes the cream is not absorbed into the skin, the excess should be blotted with a napkin.
  6. And the remains of unused cream can be distributed over the back of your hands.

Important to remember:

  1. Day cream should be applied no later than half an hour before going outside, and in winter no later than an hour, so that it has time to be absorbed.
  2. Night cream should be applied no later than an hour before bedtime. It can be done in 2-3 hours. Because as long as your muscles are mobile, the cream will absorb well and do its job. And if you apply the cream and immediately go to bed, your muscles will relax, microcirculation will be disrupted, the cream will stagnate and in the morning this can cause swelling, especially in the area around the eyes.

And very young girls under 25 usually don’t need night cream at all - in the evening they just need to cleanse and wipe their skin with toner. At this age, the skin is perfectly restored on its own. There is no need to help her, otherwise she will begin to be lazy and grow old ahead of time.

FEATURES OF JAPANESE FACIAL CARE

Japanese women remove makeup from their faces using hydrophilic oil and dense, thick foam.

By constantly using the Asian washing technique, you will soon see an even layer of skin, the absence of blackheads, small pimples, peeling and different shades on the skin. It's all about not only the technology of using cleansers, but also especially Japanese facial care.

Asian skin cosmetics consist of natural ingredients and oils. Japanese women themselves largely prefer making their own homemade cosmetics, which are based on rice - it reduces the production of melanin and removes the natural yellowness of their skin structure. In addition to rice, the composition includes seaweed, apple or apricot vinegar, oatmeal, and a set of herbs.

All cosmetics have a fluid structure that prevents the release of oily sheen. Cosmetics are applied only along the massage lines of the face.

Before going outside, be sure to use sunscreen; it is also a means of preventing wrinkles, since their appearance is caused by exposure to ultraviolet radiation.

Japanese products are very specific and are not suitable for Europeans, since they are created exclusively for the Asian population, their skin is denser, more porous, and prone to greater secretion of subcutaneous fat.

Great attention to the regular use of lotion masks

Always friendly and cheerful, slender Japanese women use very little cosmetics, and if they do use it, then only high-quality ones. Cosmetics in Japan are produced only from fresh natural products. As in the food industry, they discourage the use of frozen ingredients. Creams are not in great demand among them. They weigh on the skin and tire it.

The use of lotion masks, initiated by Chizu Saeki in theoretical publications and in work, has become an indispensable everyday procedure for the Japanese. They are available to all women. You can make them at minimal cost without leaving your home. Their amazing effect is comparable to expensive beauty salon procedures. Lotion is a toilet liquid that the Japanese call cosmetic water. It disinfects, cleanses, removes sweat, sebum, dirt well, and refreshes the face. Japanese lotions, despite their ingredients, moisturize and nourish the skin, but do not contain thickeners - they are silicone, an emulsifier, and do not contain wax or oils.

Japanese women use rectangular or round cotton napkins for cosmetic procedures. They come in several balls and are very convenient to use. Having been dipped in the solution, the napkin easily splits into several and there are enough of them to cover your entire face at once. They give cotton an advantage due to its natural origin and ability to evenly absorb and distribute liquid. According to the method of a famous Japanese cosmetologist, a cotton or cotton napkin wrung out after wetting it in water, the lotion oozes out and lies on the cheeks. This compress is appropriate from three to fifteen minutes. There is also a napkin order ritual. The first napkin is placed on the nose, near the lips, then the order goes: forehead, cheeks, chin. It is also appropriate to grab the “other” chin with a napkin. To enhance the effect, you can wear a shower cap on your face. The cosmetologist advises doing this procedure when taking a bath. Before this procedure, it is necessary to test for an allergic reaction of the body in the area of the elbow. The lotion, when rubbed on the skin, may not show a bad reaction, but in a mask it may manifest itself negatively.

My experience: Japanese washing system

With the advent of BB creams in my life, the question of cleansing my skin became acute. While washing my face according to some traditional scheme, with some milk, some foam, I began to notice that my skin looked worse: some small inflammations appeared, an uneven complexion and other “joys”.

Although now I wash my face “Japanese style” not only when I do makeup with BB cream, but also with any foundation.

Unfortunately, not all products created for this cleansing regimen worked for me. Although I managed to find real must-haves for myself.

This is going to be a long post, so be forewarned. :)

Briefly for those who are just getting acquainted with this system. The Japanese washing/cleansing system is a two-step system.

Stage 1: removing makeup. Typically, hydrophilic oil or cleansing balm is used for this. Stage 2: cleansing the skin. For this, so-called cleansing foam or soap is used. In general, something that should foam well, since it is with foam that you will wash your face.

Let's start with what I used for the first stage. This is the famous Shu Uemura oil, there are several types, for different needs and skin types. For testing, I chose this travel version on ebay, the blue bottle means that in addition to its main functions, the oil is designed to “whiten” the skin and lighten age spots.

I also used Sensai Cleansing Cream* . It should be separately noted that Sensai has a huge number of varieties of jars for both the first and second stages of cleansing, and some can also be used after 2 stages, so to speak, finally before the tonic.:) All of their jars are also aimed at different skin types, and from what I understand, also what texture you like best. Details can be found on their website.

Of these two products, only Sensai was suitable for the first stage. Firstly, it turned out to be very economical, fortunately, you only need anything to use, secondly, it really dissolves makeup very well and, thirdly, and most importantly, my skin responded well to it. No inflammation, redness, clogged pores, etc. The same cannot be said about Shu Uemura oil, unfortunately. Yes, I know that many people idolize him, but it didn’t suit me. I spent a very long time looking for the source of clogged pores on my chin and even on my cheeks, and through experience I came to the conclusion that it was oil. No matter how offensive it may be. Although in fact I have an assumption that perhaps this particular type of oil did not suit me, namely in the blue bottle. I have plans to try the oil in the yellow bottle, for combination skin, it seems to be even the most popular... I hope it will be better. And if not, I know where to go... To the Sensai stand. :)

As for the second stage, I also happened to have a few jars here to try. It's Sensai again, but with Creamy Soap* and Missha Refreshing Cleansing Foam . In this case, Missha became the undisputed winner for me, and according to several criteria at once.

1. Volume!:) Just look at this chic, voluminous tube for 400 rubles on ebay, and don’t say that you don’t want it)) 2. Price 3. Cost-effective - enough for a year for sure. 4. Divinely foams: without much effort, a whole mountain of foam grows from a tiny pea, which you just have time to apply to your face. 5. Suitable for my sensitive skin. 6. Cleans PERFECTLY; The cotton pad after this foam is absolutely clean, not a trace remains of the thickest bb cream. Delight!

Creamy Soap was also good, but unfortunately it doesn't foam very well. Perhaps this is intended, but I prefer a very thick lather as a second cleansing step.

I also tried another interesting thing, the Silk Peeling Mask* from Sensai. This product can be used during the second stage of cleansing, or after everything. I did both this and that. What I liked most was the “after everything” option, 2 times a week. Thus, a deeper washing effect was obtained; the pores became cleaner and even a little smaller. This peeling mask has an interesting “putty” texture, but it makes it all the more fun to wash it off)) Since this is partly a mask, you should hold it on your face for a couple of minutes for the exact effect.

And finally, “tools”-helpers for the Japanese washing system. I have a mesh for whipping foam and a Konnyaku sponge. If the mesh can be called an obligatory element in a two-stage scheme, then Konnyaku is more of an auxiliary thing.

Of course, some semblance of foam can be knocked off with your hands or even on your face, somehow people manage to, but in fact it makes sense to pay attention to inexpensive and useful tools that can help make life easier)) which is what this mesh does. From a tiny pea of product you get lots and lots of fluffy foam without much effort.

Valeria skromni_beauty wrote an excellent review about the Konnyaku sponge, so I’ll just quote her:

Konjac sponge is made from the corms of a plant native to Asia. In addition to sponges, it is used to make food products; konjac is considered a vegan substitute for gelatin.

I use konjac mainly in combination with the Sensai peeling mask: this improves both the effect of the product and the complexion.:) The face becomes like a baby's, honestly. Sometimes, by the way, I just like to rub it on my face, after all the stages of cleansing, and watch how the pores smooth out and my face becomes prettier))

Both the mesh and konnyaku were bought on ebay, they cost very little, the sponge is about 2-3$, the mesh is about 5-7$.

And now about the effect, drawing the line, so to speak. I have been using the Japanese washing system for about 4-5 months now. At first everything seemed strange and unusual)) The role of oil in this whole process was especially incomprehensible. But every time, every day, every week, I began to observe a positive result. Especially when it was possible to choose a combination of products that did not conflict with each other and at the same time created a visible effect on the face. So far for me it’s a combination of Cleansing Cream + Refreshing Cleansing Foam + periodically Silk Peeling Mask . The skin of the face began to look denser, smoother and fresher. With the exception of an unsuccessful selection of products, my pores stopped getting clogged because foundation or bb cream remained somewhere in my skin. This is especially important for those who use bb cream every day - it is still important to understand that such thick products need to be washed off in a special way. Unfortunately, this was not obvious to me at the time. But I'm getting better))

So I will continue to use a similar scheme in the future, since the effect is on the face, as they say. I will also try new products and combine them with what I already have.

prices - step 1 and 2 products each about 2,000 rubles, peeling mask - 3,000 rubles; Shu Uemura - about 1,000 rubles. for 150 ml.

How did you get on with this washing system? Have you tried it? Or maybe you just wanted to try? Do you have any favorite skin cleansers? Which?

Stage 1 - Hydrophilic oil

Hydrophilic oil is a real find in the field of cosmetology. It is very different from regular oil. Even its name speaks for itself: “hydrophilic”, which means loving water. Unlike regular oil, it is easily washed off with water without leaving a greasy feeling on the skin.

Hydrophilic oil - 1st stage of cleansing

An interesting way to use it is to apply it directly to cosmetics, on top of mascara, powder and foundation. They rub it, smearing all the makeup over the face (very soon this won’t seem so strange). Then leave it on the face for a while. During this time, hydrophilic oil can be absorbed into the pores and when we wash it off with soap or foam, it will “wash” all the cosmetics out of the pores, leaving the skin incredibly clean.

Asian washing system.

Regardless of whether you use makeup or not, your skin needs daily cleansing. If you thoroughly cleanse your face before applying, for example, an essence, serum, emulsion or cream, the care products will work more effectively. Unfortunately, in European countries, and even in Russia, due attention is not paid to the stage of cleansing the facial skin. Perhaps the reason is a lack of understanding of the importance of this process.

In Asian skin care, there is such a thing as two-stage skin cleansing or it is also called a two-stage washing system . The name itself makes it clear that this system includes two main steps:

  • Cleansing with hydrophilic (water-soluble) oil;
  • Deep cleansing with foam.

✨ Cleansing with hydrophilic oil. ✨

The product that plays a major role in the Asian care system is hydrophilic oil. Oil is the best solvent for skin secretions and more. The compositions of many products, both decorative cosmetics (foundations, primers, BB creams, CC creams) and care products, include fat-soluble components, which means that they can only be washed off with oil. Hydrophilic oil thoroughly washes off cosmetics, dissolves sebaceous plugs and all skin impurities, but at the same time does not dry out the skin, does not cause an alkaline reaction, and does not leave behind an unpleasant feeling of stickiness on the face.

cream or cleansing balm as the first step of cleansing . These are different aggregate states of hydrophilic oil, essentially with exactly the same functions.

Important:

  • You need to use hydrophilic oil twice a day - morning and evening, and not once, as many people think.
  • The oil must be applied with dry hands to dry skin. Korean manufacturers advise massaging your face for about 4 minutes. In their opinion, this is exactly the amount of time needed for the oil to fulfill its purpose.
  • Do not use hydrophilic oil to remove makeup from lips and eyelashes. This is not prohibited, but if it gets into the eyes, it can cause a tingling sensation or blurred vision. To remove lipstick or mascara, use Remover , Cleansing Water , or Micellar Water .

✨Deep cleansing with foam.✨

Foam ), soap ( Soap ) or gel ( Gel are good for this . After removing makeup, it is imperative to remove any remaining oil so that our pores are clean and do not get clogged.

For deep cleansing, thick foam is used, which is whipped by hand or using a special mesh called “awadama”. After that, the resulting foam is applied to the skin of the face, where its microbubbles penetrate deeply into the pores and cleanse them.

Important:

  • Korean foams must be foamed before you apply them to your face.
  • When using foam while washing your face, your fingers should not touch the surface of your face. This way, it cleanses your face squeaky clean without stripping your skin.
  • The foam should be dense; the smaller the bubbles, the deeper they penetrate and wash out impurities from the pores.
  • Makeup is not washed off using foam.
  • For each skin type you should choose your own foam.

The peculiarity of this two-stage Asian wash is softness and delicacy. Both oil and foam interact very carefully with the skin of the face, do not dry out or irritate the skin, do not damage it or cause peeling.

In addition to daily cleansing, it is necessary to deeply cleanse the skin once or twice a week using peeling or scrub. These products help get rid of dead skin particles, improve blood circulation, and improve the condition and complexion in general.

Benefits of properly cleansing your face before bed:

  • Thanks to this, the skin is saturated with oxygen.
  • Cosmetics give greater effect.
  • The formation of wrinkles slows down.
  • The skin becomes more radiant.
  • The face doesn't look so tired.
  • Acne and blackheads disappear.
  • Skin looks smoother, softer and more attractive.

Do you follow the Asian washing system? Have you tried it? Did you like it or remain faithful to the more familiar “European” rituals and means for washing/cleansing?

Additional care in Japanese

Complementing the classic Japanese cleansing are other traditional options. They are not daily and are used as desired.

Konnyaku

The effect of the procedure is provided by a traditional Japanese sponge - konnyaku, made from an organic vegetable grown in Japan. When dry, the accessory is hard and hard, not intended for contact with the face. By moistening it with water, you will get a soft, porous scrub sponge with a silky touch effect. The sponge is especially good for delicate cleansing, for allergy-prone and sensitive skin. Can be used as a massage and exfoliating tool for the face and body. The shelf life of the Japanese sponge is not long due to its organic origin and is 2 months. If you let it dry and store it in a special container, it will last a little longer. Depending on the need for additional cleansing, konjac is used every other day or less often.

Rice bags

One of the old Japanese means of achieving external beauty is rice powder. The bags filled with fine rice flour resemble tea bags. One copy lasts for a week, so it is considered an uneconomical product with a short-term effect. They use it additionally by moistening it with water and performing massage movements. Rice product brightens the skin and cleanses pores.

Express cleansing

Busy people don't have time to whip foam twice a day. For those who do not have this opportunity, ready-made foams from Japanese manufacturers are available.

How things didn’t work out for me with Japanese double cleansing and Asian bibb creams

Having read some time ago rave reviews from other bloggers who tried double cleansing of the skin using the Japanese system (hydrophilic oil + cleanser that whips into foam), I thought that I should try it too. Moreover, many wrote that they had never had such clear skin as with this method, and that they had, therefore, cleaned their face incorrectly all their lives.

In general, good is not sought from good, I was one hundred percent satisfied with my Cleansing Complex from iS Clinical. But here he had the temerity to end... In addition, he could not cope with the effective removal of Asian bibb creams. And then I was offered to test products from the Japanese brand Suhada - I had already tried their cleansing oil and was pleased with it, and also fell in love with the Rosegel peeling roller. So the same Perfect Cleansing Oil and Dr P Washing Foam have settled in my home. When using these same Asian bibb creams, such a system is considered almost mandatory (well, at a minimum you need hydrophilic oil).

It is assumed that you first cleanse dry skin with oil - when it comes into contact with makeup or impurities, after a small massage it begins to foam a little and is washed off with water.

The oil dissolves eye makeup perfectly—it removes mascara from eyelashes quite pleasantly and, most importantly, effectively. But this time something didn’t work out with my whole face. This thing hardly foamed and, accordingly, did not wash off well on its own - the feeling that something was left on the skin did not leave. And I started to feel like it was clogging my pores.

The second item in the program is a cleanser depending on your skin type. I chose the foam (pictured at the beginning), for drier skin there is a massage cream. The foam needs to be whipped into foam (sorry for the tautology) - at first I squeezed a little product into the palm of my hand, added water and whipped it with my fingers. The result was something thick and slightly foamy. Life completely changed when the wonderful Anya from Cefine sent me a mesh for whipping foam as a gift. This is the thing, I tell you! The most primitive one, somewhat reminiscent of a bag for washing delicate linen, only it is not a bag, but just a mesh. With it there was about 30 times more foam. I squeezed foam flakes out of the mesh onto three faces exactly. The foam cleansed the skin normally, did not cause irritation to my sensitive skin, and washed off the remaining oil just as well. By the way, I didn’t really want to use oil in the morning - it seemed unnecessary. For a while, for the sake of the purity of the experiment, I forced myself, but then I stopped and postponed it only for the evening, when I had to remove my makeup and bibb creams.

To be honest, either way or otherwise, I only saw worsening on my skin. The clogged pores clearly indicated that cleansing from such a system was not enough for me. I desperately wanted to return to the clinic's Cleansing Complex, but everyone couldn't get around to finding it. As a result, I became so paranoid about my acne that I stopped using Asian BB creams. No matter what amazing smoothing and masking effect they gave, they did not benefit my skin. Some were smaller, some were larger - they were clearly too dense for me and they all remained in my pores. Sorry, I literally saw them sticking out from there. An unpleasant sight.

For another month I washed my face using the double system, without bibi creams. There was an improvement after giving up Asians, but the problems remained, and it saddened me that before all the experiments my skin was actually better. Resigned, I brought home a new tube of Cleansing Complex - and instantly felt the difference. Gentle, effective cleansing - I no longer have so many clogged pores (although I will have to go for cleaning).

In general, something went wrong with us - both with bibi creams and with double cleansing. I don’t want to discredit both ideas at all - I’m sure many have found their happiness thanks to “Asians” and do not have problems with acne because of them, and many are hooked on the “oil + cleanser” system and are also happy. Perhaps I had the wrong honey and products that were not very suitable for me - the “blue” Suhada line is intended primarily for sensitive skin, and secondarily for various other problems. And the foam itself is not bad - but for some other skin, not mine. And, to be honest, my lazy nature is also confused by the hassles of application: firstly, it’s unpleasant for me to roll the oil on dry skin (it seems to me, it seems to me, how it settles in my pores forever and comes out with inflammation), secondly, whipping the foam, which at first fascinated me, ended up becoming very boring (well, again, I didn’t feel much difference from the big foam and just the foam, except for the amusing husband of the “all in foam” surroundings).

Maybe someday I’ll make a second go at double cleansing with some other products, but for now I’m so happy with my gel from iS Clinical that I’m going to remain steadfastly faithful to it -).

WHO IS JAPANESE SKIN CARE SUITABLE FOR?

The Japanese system is the use of dense foam cleansers

Of course, it is difficult to resist the opportunity to become a beautiful girl with an even layer of facial skin. But who is suitable for Japanese skin care will be best commented by a cosmetologist: “If you have enough time for evening facial skin care, then this technique will certainly be suitable. It's not a matter of different skin types.

Japanese women carry out this procedure constantly, without disturbing or missing elements of cleansing. The skin is accustomed to deep cleansing, nutrition with beneficial components and opening of pores. A European girl will be able to do this procedure for a week at most. Over time, the skin will not receive the proper nutrients into the open pores and will begin to dry out. Minor irritants can cause itching in open pores. Those small pimples and peeling corneas will begin to cause more and more discomfort. It can only get worse."

Although, if you are not lazy and have 15 minutes of time before bed or evening rest, then armed with a time manager and patience, you can quite calmly start cleansing your facial skin, going through thoughts in your head and summing up the past day. There is no problem with time here, the main thing is the desire to be irresistible!

Methodology

Cleansing involves several products: oils, serums, creams, lotions, emulsions. You need to properly remove makeup from your face, preferably using hydrophilic oil and dense thick foam. The skin is moisturized with serums, as they are light and absorb well into the skin.

Different products are used for the skin of the face and the skin around the eyes. Sheet masks, Japanese massage, contrast compresses and lip balms are often used. There is a water facial massage

It is also important to pay attention to nutrition, since the skin also depends on it. Serve small portions, use seasonal products

When it comes to decorative cosmetics, less is more. It is better to choose oil-based products

It is important to protect your skin from ultraviolet rays, do a water massage, and arrange a day for your skin without decorative cosmetics. Read more about care below

JAPANESE FACIAL CARE METHOD

The Japanese facial care system consists of more than 10 stages of cleansing.
The Japanese, using new technologies, have learned to create almost natural, light caring cleansing products. This is understandable, since the Japanese facial care method involves the use of 5–6 cleansers: oils, foams, serums, creams, emulsions and lotions. The Asian way of skin care is divided into two phases: removing makeup and washing. Everything is very simple, but let’s take a closer look at the technique:

Makeup remover – Japanese women remove makeup from the face using hydrophilic oil and dense, thick foam. Hydrophilic oil is an original Japanese product capable of removing persistent cosmetic products, such as BB creams, waterproof mascaras and lipsticks. Although this oil is subject to severe criticism in terms of harm to the skin, since it contains vegetable and mineral oils. Japanese women do not think so, since the oil only removes cosmetics and does not remain on the skin for a long time, then it is thoroughly washed off.

Hydrophilic oil should be applied to dry facial skin, using circular movements with your fingertips. Afterwards, wet your hands with warm water and continue to rub in the oil with damp fingertips. Interacting with water, the oil turns into an emulsion. Continue the rubbing procedure until the oil disappears.

Asian women use dense foam whipped from gel or soap for deep cleansing. There are meshes for whipping foam, you can also use a sponge. The resulting foam is applied to the skin of the face. The skin continues to be massaged using foam, without touching the skin itself. Remove foam with wet hands. You can rinse your face with cool water, or use a soaked cotton napkin.

Japanese women also moisturize their skin with serum. The serum structures are very light and easily absorbed without leaving any traces. Thanks to the serum, the skin receives a sufficient amount of moisture, which is why the water balance of the epidermis is constantly maintained, reducing the pressure effect of dryness and aging of the skin.

Now you can use the cream around the eyes, applying it to the lower eyelid, from one edge of the eye to the other, trying to distribute the cream in an even layer, and not rub it in with rough finger movements in all directions.

The next step is to apply face cream. This can be a cream for young facial skin, or a product for the prevention of wrinkles and the causes of their occurrence, or simply a softening cream. The application areas vary accordingly, depending on the impact: forehead, corners of the eyes, nasolabial zone of moving facial expressions. The cream is applied using fingertips using tapping movements. You can also treat the neck and décolleté area with a softening cream, for example.

Since lips are also subject to dryness and exposure to external factors all day, you don’t use hygienic lipstick. Therefore, after such deep cleansing and moisturizing, it’s time to treat the skin of your lips by applying protective hygienic lipstick or film balm with herbal extracts. Japanese women fix all applied products with a makeup base cream. It also gives radiance to the skin.

Such regular nutrition accustoms the skin to constantly absorb the beneficial elements of products. Therefore, it is useful to use cosmetic masks twice a week. Fabric masks soaked in hyaluronic acid are popular among Japanese women. Hot towels that help open pores are also very popular.
