Stop facial aging with sculpting massage

The essence

The cosmetologist works on all parts of the muscles, even those that are not involved in facial expressions, forcing them to work and tense, and tones the skin. Often after the first procedures the client experiences discomfort, which goes away over time. Massage combines several different techniques:

  • Impact on the skin, facial muscles, fat layer.
  • Kneading the skin in the direction of the massage lines.
  • The use of intense movements.

After the full course, the tone of the muscles of the face and neck returns to normal. Muscle stimulation occurs due to a rush of blood, the skin is saturated with oxygen, becomes toned and fresh. Complex, deeply affecting sculptural (other names: plasticizing, modeling, buccal) massage is a serious alternative to the surgical method of rejuvenation.

Massage technique

To massage your face, you will need to use a special oil that provides better glide. To perform the technique, you first need to learn the location of the massage lines, and begin working on the neck area under the chin.

The lines are worked out precisely, and various movements are also used:

  • crumpling;
  • pinching;
  • light pressure;
  • rolling.

Gradually, the specialist moves on to the face and, thanks to precise movements, influences the muscles and deep tissues.

Interesting!

It is the sculpting technique that is used as an alternative to surgical intervention, and it is especially effective in the early stages.

Indications

Recommended for women over 30 years of age. At an earlier age, correction is used in the complex treatment of acne for oily and porous skin. The therapy gives a delightful effect: strengthens the facial muscles, corrects the contour, smoothes out deep wrinkles, improves skin color, increases blood circulation, eliminates swelling, tightens the oval, restores radiance and a healthy glow, reduces enlarged pores, smoothes scars and scars, has a good effect on nerve endings.

Advantages and disadvantages

Modeling lymphatic drainage facial massage to combat age-related changes has its pros and cons. Before making a final decision about taking the course, you should consult your personal physician. The advantages include the following factors:

  • without plastic surgery you can transform your appearance;
  • the price of the course is lower than with surgical intervention;
  • the result is noticeable after the first procedures;
  • The average time of one session is about 40 minutes.

The negative points include:

  • pain immediately after the procedure for the first time or two;
  • there is a risk of visiting an unqualified specialist.

What is buccal massage?

The first thing I can’t wait to write about: massage is done through the mouth. And now a little history. Buccal massage was invented by French biochemist and cosmetologist Joël Siocco. The essence of the technique is that when massaging from the inside, the cosmetologist works the muscles that cannot be touched with a classic facial massage.

A buccal massage can be compared to a regular body workout: the muscle corset gains elasticity, the face gains relief (read: cheekbone line), and after the procedure the muscles ache like after a good workout. According to the cosmetologist, after 6-8 sessions the corners of the lips are lifted, nasolabial folds are smoothed out and the floating oval disappears.

Plastic massage movements

The plastic massage technique was developed by a female cosmetologist, Frenchwoman Joëlle Siocco. Distinctive feature: clarity of movements, alternation of special manipulations, the base of the palms and the palmar surface of the fingers. Thanks to this, a sculptural restoration of the contours and oval of the face occurs. Some of the movements occur on a count of 4 or 8, taking into account the directions of the massage lines. The skin tissues are pressed without displacement to the adjacent bones.

The massage therapist's fingers perform deep, energetic, smooth, rhythmic movements with longitudinal pressure and pressure, periodically combined with light vibration. Transverse pressure should be applied, pressure without vibration with palms parallel to each other (perpendicular to the wrinkles). Plastic massage is carried out using four main techniques: stroking, superficial and deep kneading, tapping, and vibration.

How to do a massage

Before starting the procedure, the master applies sterile talc to the skin of the patient’s face and neck to strengthen the grip of the massage therapist’s fingers on the skin. No lubricants are used. Here are the steps:

  1. The beginning of the process consists of light stroking along the main massage lines with the completion of tissue fixation at the end of each action. Movement on a count of 4 with repetitions 3 times.
  2. The massage therapist performs superficial kneading with the palmar surface of the first and second fingers. The movements describe spiral-shaped circles inscribed within each other. The master makes up to 8 circles three times, along each massage line, each time ending with tissue fixation. All movements for the transition are dotted in nature; light pressure is applied with the pads of the fingers until the point at which the next action begins.
  3. Deep kneading is carried out with the surface of the palm and all fingers along the kneading lines, ending on the chin area.
  4. Tapping (or staccato) occurs with the tips of the nail phalanges, all involved together. The movements have the outlines of circles inscribed into each other along the same massage lines. In the direction from the chin area upward, along the lateral facial surface to the neck, chest and in the opposite direction to the midline of the chin, then with straight fingers tap upward, while simultaneously descending to the chest area.
  5. Vibration is carried out over the entire surface of the fingers. The direction and beginning of the vibration movements, the middle of the chest area to the sides, the central part of the collarbones to the earlobe, the movements end in the temporal areas.

The whole procedure ends with light stroking. After each session, the skin of the face and neck is treated with a cotton swab moistened with a special lotion or herbal decoction. Next, a mask made from medicinal plants is applied to the face for 20 minutes. After the mask, the skin is cooled with a cool compress.

According to the indications or wishes of the patient, plastic massage sessions are combined or alternated with cosmetic massage, which is performed using special lubricants rather than talc. The duration of one plastic massage session is no more than 20 minutes. On average, the course is designed for 18 sessions. The session is carried out with a frequency of 1 to 4 times a week. The older the patient, the more often sessions are needed.

How the procedure works in our clinic

The procedure begins with a preliminary diagnosis of the skin. This allows you to determine the required number of sessions to resolve the identified problem.

Performing a sculptural massage does not involve the use of additional tools. All problem areas are treated exclusively with your hands. Before starting the procedure, the skin is thoroughly cleansed. After this, a massage agent is applied that enhances the gliding of the hands. First, the face is treated with smooth movements, and then the intensity of the impact intensifies.

The duration of the entire procedure is 1 hour.

Types of sculptural practice

The technique, which provoked a kind of revolution in the world of beauty, is compared to non-surgical lifting. Therefore, the top ranking of the popularity of anti-aging procedures is occupied by two trends advocated by master cosmetologists: plastic surgery and plasticizing massage.

The first option is really relevant in cases where the patient wants to radically change his appearance and is not afraid to go under a scalpel to do this.

The second option, facial modeling using sculpting, also helps fight aging. The effect will not be instantaneous and 100%, but will appear without negative effects on the body.

Sculptural method

When properly performed, the modeling effect lasts a long time.

Intensive exposure is performed in the following areas:

  • from the middle of the forehead to the temples;
  • from the brow ridges to the hairline;
  • from the inner corners of the eye sockets to the outer ones;
  • from nostrils to ears;
  • from the corners of the lips to the lobes;
  • from the center of the chin to the ears.

Important: This massage is not recommended for use during pregnancy and lactation without prior consultation with a competent physician.

The effect of the preventive procedure is hardly noticeable. The process gives a tangible result only if there are indications for its implementation.

Interesting: This technique helps reduce tissue volume after or during weight loss.

The cheek muscles are the largest on the facial frame, which is why their sagging is most noticeable in the appearance of both men and women. After the session, the tissue tone will return to normal, the corners of your lips will rise, you will forget about facial wrinkles and notice noticeably firmer cheeks.

Deep tissue or sublingual (buccal)

Perhaps what you learn will seem strange, but this massage is partially carried out through the oral cavity. Its specificity is that the face is massaged both from the outside and from the inside of the oral cavity (the inside of the cheeks and gums), and the chewing and facial muscles are worked out. Please wait to discard this option due to its unusual nature. First, familiarize yourself with the methodology in more detail. What if she is the right one for you?

French sublingual massage can be called relaxing at a stretch, but it definitely does not cause negative sensations. The level of pain does not exceed the standard indicator for any modeling effect. Over time, you will even learn to enjoy the procedure.

The main positive aspects of the technique:

  • the skin becomes more toned;
  • cheeks are tightened;
  • jowls decrease;
  • the muscle frame is toned;
  • the face becomes thinner;
  • mimic wrinkles in the corners of the lips become invisible.

The epidermal layer begins to actively produce new cells. Such physiotherapy sessions are recommended for people who have suffered a stroke that left complications in the form of:

  • nervous tic;
  • numbness in some areas of the face;
  • spasm and muscle atrophy.

After the first visits to the specialist, all patients experience unpleasant consequences that quickly pass:

  • swelling of the cheeks;
  • aching pain, in particular in problem areas;
  • discomfort comparable to mild sore throat.

If such phenomena scare you, think about the fact that this technique is a kind of facial training. Sit down 40 times without habit - your muscles will hurt the same.

As soon as all the unpleasant symptoms go away, you will see the expected result.

Remember: depending on your age and the condition of your skin and muscles, a visible effect may appear only after 5-6 procedures out of 10 standard ones.

Massage therapists are trained under the personal guidance of the founder of the technique, Joelle Siocco, which indicates the highest class of masters practicing this technique.

Execution of the technique:

  1. The patient lies or sits in a relaxed position with his head resting on the headrest.
  2. A specialist wearing sterile gloves begins to massage the muscles from the outside.
  3. Gradually it moves into the oral cavity, capturing the cheeks and gums.

Goal: grab the muscles, lightly stretch them and return them to their original place.

Important: The correct technique does not leave behind negative consequences: bruises, bruises, etc.

Asahi and Zogan techniques

It would be wrong to say that the Japanese Yukuko Tanaka created something new. She revived the long-forgotten practice of two-finger manipulation. Ten years ago, the world first saw the book “Facial Massage” under her authorship, but in Russia the technique appeared much later and was called Asahi - Morning Sun Massage.

This technique differs from the standard one by affecting not only the skin, but also the deep tissues. The master works on the epidermal layer, muscles, joints and even bones.

The main difference is its detoxifying effect. The master’s movements follow the movement of lymph, improving the outflow of fluids in the face and neck.

The process affects the following groups of lymph nodes:

  • behind the ear;
  • parotid;
  • occipital;
  • sublingual;
  • mandibular;
  • angle of the lower jaw;
  • cervical anterior

The Zogan technique is an improved Asahi practice, which has a key effect on the facial muscles: tones them, strengthening them, improving cell nutrition and metabolic processes. The oval of the face acquires a clear contour, the severity of folds decreases and the condition of the skin improves.

Sculptural facial massage at home

The main disadvantage of self-massage is the difficulty of performing special techniques. It is not easy to achieve complete relaxation and the desired tone. But, having studied the video technique, you can do it yourself. At home, sculpting massage requires knowledge of anatomy and takes time (about an hour is required). At home, the session is divided into stages:

1. Preparatory part:

  • Take a steam bath to cleanse your face for 7 minutes.
  • Wash thoroughly and dry your hands up to the elbow.
  • Remove hair.
  • Apply cream.

2. Warm-up stage:

  • Lightly stroking both hands to relax the skin of the face, neck, and décolleté.

3. Sculptural massage of the neck and forearm area:

  • Use your fingertips to apply pressure, gradually moving upward, starting from the back of the neck to the back of the head. Movements should be increasing, but not sudden.
  • Keeping the rhythm, start rolling using your fingertips.
  • Next, intensively work the muscles of the neck and forearm to the maximum possible depth.

4. Neckline surgery:

  • With your head thrown back, make a “water mill” movement - from the chin area, using your hands to roughly rake water from the décolleté area towards yourself.
  • The movements of the sculptural massage in this area are wave-like, gentle, the skin here is thin.

5. Drainage of lymph nodes:

  • You need to carefully study the location of the lymph nodes.
  • Using the pads of your fingers, hands, and the back of your hand, perform pressing movements at the site of accumulation of lymph nodes in the chest, shoulders, collarbone, back of the head, and temples.

6. Oval adjustment:

  • Work the cheek area with rotational movements.
  • Perform light pinching along the contour of the face.
  • Directly influence the muscle attachment points.
  • Complete the sculptural massage session with light, stroking movements, reducing the pressure.

Movements are made strictly along certain lines; they need to be learned. All doubts and questions about performing a massage at home can be found in training videos from professionals, and you can learn the main techniques and techniques.

How often should you do it?

Two full courses are completed per year, with an average of 12 sessions. For preventive purposes, the skin rejuvenation technique is used about twice a month. For women over 35 years of age, massage sessions are carried out at intervals of three days. After 45 years, it is recommended to increase the number of procedures with a reduction in breaks by one day. You can repeat the rejuvenation course in six months. It is important to maintain the results by visiting a cosmetologist at least twice a month.

Age restrictions and contraindications

Sculptural massage is useful at any age. To prevent early aging, it is recommended to carry out the full course once a year, starting from the age of 25. At a younger age, such a massage is prescribed only if there are special indications: severe bags under the eyes, swelling, muscle or nervous tension.

The procedure is not performed for the following violations:

  • pathologies of the thyroid gland;
  • exacerbation of herpes;
  • infectious diseases;
  • malignant neoplasms;
  • rosacea;
  • wounds and scratches on the face;
  • elevated body temperature.

Price

Before signing up for a sculptural lifting facial massage at a salon, you need to find out customer reviews and, if necessary, evaluate the work of an individual master using before and after photos.
The cost of the service is too low (up to 1,500 rubles) means that the specialist has no experience or does not have qualification documents. A private master working at home may offer a low price - in this case, you need to ask to see diplomas of training in the Joelle technique. Price for facial sculpting service in Moscow

  • A positive effect is noted after the first procedure;
  • The result is achieved without resorting to chemicals and surgery;
  • The price is lower compared to the cost of plastic surgery.
