I’ve probably been preparing for today’s review for a whole year: I don’t know why, since I formed an opinion about the famous Meso-Mask after the first use, and each subsequent use only strengthened it. But finally I have matured and am sharing my impressions.
It’s not for nothing that I use such loud epithets as “legendary” and “famous”: wherever cosmetics are discussed, Meso-Mask is the stuff of legends. It is usually described as instantly miraculously transforming the skin. And I was repeatedly asked in the comments what my opinion was about her - well, listen. I'll start with a description from the manufacturer. Meso-Mask is called so because its action is compared to mesotherapy, that is, the subcutaneous administration of vitamin cocktails. However, they can be not only vitamin-rich, but in any case - with a bunch of useful components in their composition. I have never decided to try mesotherapy even once in my life, because the description “... and then many, many injections are made into the skin, like stitching with a sewing machine,” scares me. I don’t want a sewing machine! I can say that I am just beginning to live.
Of course, getting the same skin healing effect without needles and cross stitch on your face is very tempting. Meso-Mask contains rhamnose polysaccharide (rhamnose is some kind of deoxysaccharide, so the combination as a whole doesn’t mean anything to me at all) and the anti-aging complex NCTF: as it is written in the instructions, it is “used in medical tablets”, the strangest thing statement that I have ever read in the labels of cosmetic products. Which tablets? Why should abstract “medical pills” be a guarantee of healthy skin? Maybe they're indigestion pills, to put it delicately. Sounds strange, in general.
Nothing more is said about the beneficial components in the composition, but that’s okay: in fact, it is not at all necessary to cram a hundred extracts into the product for it to be effective; One is enough, but a strong one.
The mask claims to have a relaxing, smoothing, calming effect and improved complexion. You should use the mask once a week for a month, and then once every two weeks. Well, I don’t even want to listen to anything here: if a mask gives such an immediate effect, then it should be used “on the go”, and not once every two weeks, in my opinion. However, for the purity of the experiment, I maintained intervals.
The texture of the mask is simply wonderful, without exaggeration: a very light and delicate cream, somewhat silky to the touch. The smell is a little “medicinal” and sour. You need to apply Meso-Mask all over your face, including your eyes, you can also apply it to your neck, and leave it on for 15-30 minutes (strange range; oh well, I usually applied it for 20 or 30 minutes), then rinse with water.
And this is where things started to get weird for me. The mask, one might say, did not wash off. That is, the main visible layer was washed off, but at the same time a whitish coating remained on the skin, and it itself felt so...how can I put it better...rubbery. You run your fingers over it, but they seem to “get stuck” and don’t slide. Washing off Meso-Mask without cleansers turned out to be as convenient and effective as washing off a layer of fat in a frying pan with cold water: you seem to wash and wash it, but it doesn’t wash off. Moreover, all my gel-mousses resisted this plaque with tenacity worthy of better use. The only thing that helped was the konjac sponge, that is, cleansing with mechanical exfoliation - not weak! It was especially unpleasant to deal with plaque in the eye area, where it was simply a pity to rub the skin with a sponge.
But, in the end, I managed to wash myself off, and I went to the mirror to evaluate the promised instant transformation. But, alas, I didn’t see it. Meso-Mask provides good hydration, but I didn’t notice any tightening, smoothing or generally the ability to “put my face in place.” It's a pity of course.
I readily admit that each skin reacts individually to such restorative things, and certainly the chorus of voices praising the mask did not arise out of nowhere; but this doesn’t make it any easier for me personally; the mask turned out to be useless for me. I can moisturize my skin with less sacrifice, without using sponges, Fairy and other washing-off arsenal.
