General principles of acne treatment
The culprits of acne are coccus microorganisms and propionobacteria. It is their appearance that leads to the formation of boils, abscesses, scars and age spots on the face and chest. The patient feels discomfort due to an unaesthetic appearance. Severe forms of the disease often lead to complexes and depression.
Acne treatment is complex and includes:
- elimination of pathogenic microflora leading to disease;
- improving the general condition of the skin and enhancing its protective properties;
- local effect (normalization of the sebaceous glands, elimination of inflammation);
To treat acne, dermatologists have developed various treatment tactics, including injections, massage, the use of cosmetics, and the use of special equipment (for example, laser). The use of any one method does not give the desired effect, so acne treatment consists of combining them.
Beauty salon ONI
Nothing can darken youth like acne. Acne appears precisely during puberty. Increased secretion of the sebaceous glands and intense sweating block the pores. Bright red rash papules (acne) appear on the skin of the face, neck and upper body.
Acne is one of the most common skin diseases today, most often found in young people during puberty, but for many it haunts them throughout their lives. The most common areas affected by acne are the skin of the face, neck, and back. The cause of acne is increased secretion of the sebaceous glands, as a result of which sebum secretion blocks the pores, turning them into an ideal environment for the development of skin bacteria. As a result, pimples with black heads appear - this is how acne appears. Essentially, acne is an inflammatory lesion of the sebaceous glands, in which hair follicles can also be involved.
The insidiousness of so-called acne lies in the fact that under no circumstances do they rush to leave their localization sites. Moreover, the main danger of traditional acne treatment methods is the formation of scars. There are many ways to combat the effects of acne, but they all have their drawbacks or contraindications. And only ELOS technology can relieve our patients from all problems at the same time, while the procedure does not cause discomfort, has no side effects and is highly effective.
Advantages of ELOS technology in the fight against acne
ELOS is the use of radio frequency and light energy. These are pulsed, optimally adjusted parameters of their impact. This is the deepest penetration into the skin.
ELOS technology is an innovative hardware method of combating acne and post-acne. ELOS acne treatment can eliminate not only the consequences of the disease, but also some of its causes, which ultimately prevents relapse of the disease.
ELOS technology is used both in the treatment of the acute stage (combat the one-time occurrence of acne) and the chronic stage (removal of scars and stagnant spots - post-acne).
Treatment of acne using ELOS technology is carried out using a special device AURORA, which is equipped with an AC nozzle that emits short-wave pulse energy, which is combined with radio frequency pulses. It is the combined effect that allows you to achieve the maximum effect, which is usually inaccessible to other methods.
The combination of blue light energy and radiofrequency destroys bacteria and reduces inflammation. Direct action on the infected glands reduces the excessive formation of sebaceous secretions. The dual-directional effect ensures not only fast, but also complete cleansing of the skin. During the procedure, short wave pulses are responsible for destroying bacteria in the skin pores. At the same time, radio frequencies penetrate deep into the follicle without damaging the epidermis. They normalize the functioning of the sebaceous glands. ELOS technology guarantees a long-term effect on the sebaceous glands, so you can be confident in the duration of the effect.
Treatment results
Treatment of acne depends on the individual characteristics of the patient’s body and the degree of neglect of the disease. Mild acne disappears in just two or three treatments, but more serious cases require more treatments. Thus, the treatment plan for the disease depends on its duration and nature. It is carried out by a qualified cosmetologist who determines the number of treatment sessions and the duration of each procedure based on the individual characteristics of each patient. Acne treatment using ELOS technology is a safe, effective and painless procedure, the results of which can be seen very quickly.
The advantages of this method are undeniable. Take advantage of them. You have the opportunity to make your skin absolutely healthy in a short time. The essence of ELOS treatment
With ELOS treatment, propionic and coccal bacteria, which cause acne, are destroyed under the influence of broad spectrum light. When light rays hit protoporphyrins, free radicals are generated that kill pathogenic microorganisms in clogged pores. At the same time, sebaceous plugs are destroyed and the oiliness of the skin decreases.
ELOS treatment is used not only to get rid of acne and post-acne, but also to remove pigmentation, individual pimples, blackheads or comedones, as well as to prevent their appearance.
Characteristics of Electro-Optical Synergy technology
Electro Optical Synergy (abbreviated ELOS) is translated from English as “electro-optical synergy”. This is an electro-optical combination technology, the essence of which is to simultaneously expose the skin to light and electromagnetic energies of radio frequency waves. This achieves the summation of the effects of both influences and obtaining a higher result than when using each of them separately. In addition, using only light or only electromagnetic energy requires greater intensity, which increases the likelihood of complications, and combination avoids this.
This technology has found wide application in cosmetology and dermatology. In addition to treating acne, it is used to rejuvenate the skin, remove blood vessels on the face, eliminate fat deposits and get rid of cellulite, and for hair removal.
Therapeutic effect
Using Elos technology allows you to achieve results that prevent the formation of acne in the future. These include:
- suppression of the vital activity of propionbacteria acne;
- decreased production and secretion of skin secretions.
Eliminating the influence of these factors helps to stop the development of acne mechanisms, as a result of which the risk of acne on the skin is reduced.
Note! To achieve the desired result, you will need to carry out at least two procedures over 7 days. To consolidate the effect, cosmetologists recommend attending additional sessions, the number of which can reach 7 or even 8 manipulations.
The final number of procedures is determined by a specialist after a preliminary examination and several manipulations; their number depends on the individual characteristics of the body of each individual patient.
The Elos technique is also actively used in the treatment of post-inflammatory scars, boils, skin pigmentation and other pathologies that are a consequence of acne. Post-acne treatment is carried out using an additional attachment designed to achieve the corresponding goals.
The mechanism of the treatment procedure
The procedure is carried out in three stages.
- Cooling of the top layer of skin required to achieve a temperature difference between healthy areas and affected areas. In addition, it does not require the use of anesthesia. The likelihood of side effects such as burns and redness is also reduced.
- Heating the affected tissues. Light energy passes through the epidermis and is absorbed by capillaries, pigment formations, hair follicles and connective tissue. Then it turns into heat. The temperature in the skin structures that have absorbed energy increases, and their electrical resistance, on the contrary, decreases. They become conductors of current in the radio frequency range.
- Destroying the affected areas by exposing them to radiofrequency current.
Expected effect and required number of sessions
Propionic bacteria, which cause inflammation, are destroyed by the light beam, and excess sebaceous glands atrophy. As a result, both causes that lead to acne disappear: pathogenic microorganisms and excess sebum.
Determining the number of sessions is the task of the attending physician. It all depends on the degree of skin damage. The full course of ELOS against acne consists of 8-10 procedures, 2 times a week. This is enough to save the patient even from a complex form of the disease. If the skin lesion is very small, the result will be noticeable after just a few procedures.
In case of serious skin problems, to maintain the obtained effect, it is necessary to carry out preventive ELOS procedures every month and a half; this will reduce the risk of recurrent rashes.

Typically, the course of ELOS acne treatment is 8-10 procedures, as with acne phototherapy. Procedures can be carried out no more than twice a week .
Like many hardware techniques, ELOS therapy in the fight against acne is rarely completely painless - you will still have to endure a little. But what kind of beauty is complete without sacrifice? Unpleasant sensations include: a slight burning sensation, a feeling of dryness and tension of the skin, tingling, swelling and redness. But as a rule, all these troubles disappear without a trace within a few days.
Contraindications to the procedure
Contraindications to ELOS treatment are divided into two groups: general and local.
General contraindications include:
- oncological diseases (even in remission);
- pregnancy and lactation period;
- taking hormonal medications (or oral contraceptives that affect hormonal levels);
- allergy to ultraviolet or nickel;
- autoimmune diseases;
- presence of a pacemaker;
- decompensated diabetes mellitus;
- acute infectious diseases;
- thromboembolism or taking anticoagulants;
- taking medications that increase skin sensitivity to ultraviolet radiation (tetracyclines, medications with St. John's wort extract);
Local contraindications include:
- fresh tan or recent trip to the solarium;
- tendency to form keloid scars;
- permanent makeup or tattoos in the affected area;
- inflammation and other damage to the skin in the affected area, including the consequences of cosmetic procedures (peeling);
- acute form of herpes;
- exacerbation of eczema or psoriasis.
After tanning, solarium or cosmetic procedures, you must wait at least two weeks before performing ELOS treatment.
How Elos works, stages of the procedure
Elos physiotherapy involves the use of the following types of energy:
- light energy;
- energy of electromagnetic waves.
The combination of the effects of each of the above physical phenomena allows you to quickly and painlessly cope with the acne problem.
The mechanism of action of Elos technology is the absorption of radiation by damaged areas of the skin, their subsequent heating to the desired temperature, which becomes possible due to the conversion of light energy into heat, and a decrease in resistance. Such exposure is necessary to achieve a temperature difference between the affected area and neighboring areas of the epidermis. Pre-cooling the skin prevents burning during light exposure of the skin.
During the procedure, the patient may feel a slight tingling sensation in the area of effect of the device, as well as an increase in temperature in the affected area.
The procedure takes place in 3 stages:
- cooling the epidermis before using a physiotherapeutic method;
- using a light wave to identify a target and then heat it. Necessary for maximum reduction of resistance;
- heating the affected area to the required temperature using the properties of special electromagnetic waves.
Advantages of the method
Compared to other acne treatment methods, ELOS therapy has several undeniable advantages:
- visible results after just a few sessions;
- safety of the technique and absence of complications;
- treating the cause, not the consequences;
- reduction of oily skin: removal of excess sebum, narrowing of enlarged pores and disappearance of blackheads;
- almost 100% result;
- removal of both small and large pimples on any part of the body.
Reviews from real people
Marina, 27 years old, Ekaterinburg:
I doubted for a long time whether it was worth resorting to ELOS; the price is still a bit high. But other ways to cure acne did not work. I completed a course of 10 procedures and finally my skin is clean and smooth! Now, for prevention, I do ELOS once every couple of months.
Olga, 34 years old, Astrakhan:
I tried a lot of things to treat acne, but only ELOS therapy returned my skin to its normal appearance. And it is absolutely painless and has no side effects! I now recommend it to everyone I know!
Alexey, 31 years old, Moscow:
Since adolescence I have periodically suffered from acne. I heard a lot of positive reviews from friends, and in the end I decided to go myself. For a good result, only three procedures were enough for me. My opinion: an excellent product for treating serious problems, if the skin is not too affected, it’s worth finding something cheaper.
What does the course of treatment include?
The duration of the procedure ranges from an hour to an hour and a half. As a rule, several sessions are required to achieve a lasting effect.
How to prepare
A week before the procedure, the patient is contraindicated from using alcohol-based cosmetics. You cannot take sedatives and antibacterial drugs, perform chemical peeling of the face, visit a solarium or sunbathe on the beach.
The procedure itself is painless, but unpleasant sensations (burning, slight tingling) are possible, especially on the delicate skin of the face. Therefore, the patient has the right to ask to first apply a local anesthetic to the affected area, which will show its effect after complete absorption. It is necessary to check sensitivity to the drugs used to prevent allergic dermatitis.
Features of the procedure
Step-by-step description of the treatment session:
- The facial skin is cleansed with cosmetic gels;

Keloid scars
Atrophic scars are those in which, after an inflammatory process, less tissue is formed than there was before the acne. Atrophic scars have a concave shape. There are 3 forms of atrophic scars: chipped, rectangular and rounded, depending on how the scars look. Chip scars have a chip shape, are deep and superficial - this is a very typical form of tissue scarring for acne. Note that chipped scars tend to turn into depressed, fibrotic scars, which are also called rectangular scars. Another type of concave atrophic scars is called round. They are usually soft to the touch and blend smoothly into the surrounding skin.
Types of scars
The consequence of acne can be two types of scars: atrophic and hypertrophic. Hypertrophic scars are scars with the formation of tissue in greater quantities than was present before the inflammatory process. These scars protrude above the surface of the skin. A type of hypertrophic scars are keloid scars, which are purple or bluish skin growths that noticeably protrude above the surface of the skin with a smooth, glossy surface. Keloid scars are hard to the touch, and there are both single and multiple keloid formations. Unfortunately, this type of scar can only be treated with surgical and hormonal treatment.
IMPORTANT:
The cause of scar formation is often illiterate, “amateur” acne treatment at home.
